You sprayed the lid didn't you? They say not to spray the lid. Just need a really light coat on it.I seen another guy uses food grade mineral oil to wipe the whole thing down on the outside to keep it from turning that dull color.
Hi Joe! I’m from St Louis and have followed you for years and enjoy your BBQ reviews. I’ve had lots of cookers over the years, but am as excited as you right now - I just ordered the large version of this pellet cooker!
New Sub here, brother! Awesome video! I just ordered my LSG pellet smoker and I cannot wait. Do you have 2 Yoder pellet smokers and this LSG!?! I think I saw 2 Yoders in the garage….nice! Smoke on, brother!
@@briansupermag3918 I was number 12 on the wait list and was contacted may 20 that I could order and I was cantacted Sept 3 that it was ready to ship!!!
Joe after watching your videos on this Lone Star Grillz pellet smoker I couldn’t take it any longer and pulled the trigger on a 20 x 36 with the off road wheels. My question is are you happy with the 20 x 36 or would you rather have the 20 x 42. I have so much time to wait I just wondered if you were happy with the 36 or thought the 42 would have been better. Ribs, brisket and spatchcock turkey are the biggest things I smoke now.
@@bryanstolee5541 yeah pretty sure that is the case. A little too biased. People keep commenting on the amount of smoke they are seeing, but fail to realize it’s all white dirty smoke.
I love the charcoal option, what an amazing idea, and I'd buy one just for that alone. The slide out bottom shelf, always super nice. I think Yoder's open sear is still a better design. Outside shelf on the LSG is cheap and hokey. The welds on the lid handle are atrocious and frankly it stuns me that was done at LSG. Not sold on the hopper lid. Should have been hinged, imo. All in all, from what I see, some features beat the others, yet it lags in several areas as well. I also don't understand why the stack exits so low on the bottom of the pit. I'm curious how easily the smoke come out, perhaps to trap more smoke in the pit? Thank you for sharing!

Ok thanks for watching

The 42 is only ~$200 more.
Love the walk around…..mine is on the way!!!

Can’t wait to order one in December or January. Right now I’m building a house and don’t want to have move the smoker too
I understand that
Did you buy that unit or sent for review and videos?
No reply means no buy. It was sent I’m guessing.

Where do the probs plug in at?
On the side of the controller

Great looking cooker brother! Lookin forward to some cooks👍 have a great one, you all stay safe!👍👊🍻
Thank you sir
Nice review! Question - how far do you live from the salt water? Any signs of corrosion yet?
How do the LSG and your Yoder compare? I’m looking at both and can’t decide.
They are very close in comparison
This vs Yoder?

I prayed so Hard Ida wouldn’t go East like Katrina did! Thank You Lord the MS Coast was spared!
Awesome looking pit Joe. I have been looking everywhere to see the first one out there. Can't wait to see some cooks on it from you.
Thank you and there will be plenty of cooking to come
@@SouthernCoastalCookingTM I got my YS640S back in March and love it. But that ability to run charcoal on the Lone Star may be a game changer!!
I’m in the market for the 42” pellet. How long did you wait for it?
How’s it compare to your other pellet smokers?
I really like the new features like the pellet dump and fire box easy clean out the LSG offers
Congrats Joe Looking forward to you cooking on your new pit. Ps When you going to cook on the Kingman.
Thanks , Hopefully go a big Kingman video coming up soon

Nice but doesn’t compete with the YS640
Have you seen both in person?
Not a pellet grill guy, but I were, I would invest in this LSG offering.
