I LOVE how back in the day you could get the family sedan and tow trailers and small campers wherever you needed without buying an ugly truck to have sit in the driveway were people can scoff at it.
I own one of these and it's still a good car. the clear coat paint has finally faded away and I need to replace two of the window regulators but other than that it's in good shape . I am thinking about getting a new coat of paint and regulators and keep it on the road.
i drive a used k9 unit, 1997. no back seat window buttons, because it had a dog in the back. But it does have door handles in the back to allow the dog to exit the car on its own.
@Watcher3223 right. Weirdly though in 1994’s “Little Giants” with Rick Moranis, he owns a football themed Chevy dealer and drives a Corvette. But that’s the difference between Dutch and Kevin O’Shea (O’ Niell’s character) in Little Giants.
Wow, I just picked up a '96 Crown Vic with the P71 police package, and there are quite a few things that the "Vic" in this video has that my P71 lacks.
@MikePYaDig Think back 20 years ago. No MP3. No ipod. No USB. No XM. No room in the dash for 10 CD's. Having a trunk mounted CD changer was the best you could do.
I had a 97 (same body style ) and that car got 28 MPG on the hwy, everyone says the old 302 (I owned an 85 ltd cv and 91 MGM )was the best but i have to say the 4.6 was a far superior and modern engine. the only strength the 302 had was its low end torque but that aside it was a gas hog had the power of a brigs and straton mower 140-150 hp which is presisely why it was phased out. my 4cyl honda civic has nearly double that power.
Got a -93 LX, the "express down window" was not the the reason I bought i though..... Anyway, it´s a very reliable vehicle that only let me down once. Why? I didn´t check the Volt meter. If I had done that, I would have fixed the alternator earlier! Got about 200K on it, and I guess it will get me were I want to go for at least a couple of years more.... It has no hi tech stuff except for the very reliable fuel injection, so what can possibly go wrong........I Live in Sweden by the way....
Sure, that movie destroyed a lot of them, but there's plenty more where that came from. Ford churned these cars out like Oscar Meyer churned out hot dogs.
Sad. The cars that were built on the Panther platform have put away dozens of criminals (Ford Crown Victoria), transported dozens of celebrities (Lincoln Town Car), and faithfully served many senior citizens (Mercury Grand Marquis/ Mercury Marauder.) One RUclips user commented on a tribute video to the Ford Panther platform that he has no intention of telling stories about his Ford Crown Victoria to his grandchildren; he wants to take them for a ride in it.
I used to have a '92 Crown Vic LX, it was, hands down, the BEST vehicle I ever owned. Great power and gas mileage, as well as being very comfortable!
buddywayne1 Great gas mileage compare to what, a bus?
lol@@buzman1985
I wish Ford would still offer nice cars like this.
I love how they demonstrate the cupholder buy putting a Solo cup with no lid FILLED TO THE BRIM with soda into it.
It's 2022 and I would still drive this car today if I could find one in good condition
They love the express-down driver's window feature..it is mentioned at least four times in this video!
The 1989-1996 Ford Crown Victorias are my favorite, because that's what I grew up around as a child in the 1990s.
I LOVE how back in the day you could get the family sedan and tow trailers and small campers wherever you needed without buying an ugly truck to have sit in the driveway were people can scoff at it.
I had 2 of these cars a 1993 and a 2002 Marquis, went over 300,00 km on each of them.
It comes with tires standard. Holy shit that sold me
Black sidewall tires was the point.
Lightsaber at the beginning lol
a legend was born the OG crown vic that started it all
damn that is a pretty dark blue crown vic.
Had one of those. Ran it 250K. Really liked it.
I had that same car in that color. Awesome car. My wife flipped it about 6 times into a ditch at high speed and survived almost unscathed.
Man, that's a shame. Sucks about the car too.
The lightsaber sound got me😂

I have an '04 P71, and its a lot of fun but this is the Crown Vic I want.

With Ford's talk about the brakes on this car, it reminds me of Ed O'Neil's line in "Dutch."
"You can't beat a Ford for good brakes."
Except in that movie, he drove a Lincoln Town Car (still built by Ford, though not with a Ford badge).
@@patrickmichael3384 That's correct, he was driving a Lincoln Town Car.
But I was just quoting a line that was actually spoken in the movie.

@@patrickmichael3384 And, of course, Al Bundy in "Married with Chidren" drives around in a Dodge.
@Watcher3223 not exactly a “brand loyal” man, this Edward O’Neill. Is he?

@Illousion1 Thats cool, I have a 1990 Crown Victoria Training Video. Just haven't uploaded it yet
Cell phone option that's a surprise.
I remember those days back when I was kid

Wow, one has to love the Crown Victorias. Favourite is the 88-91 era though.
I dream of this car
It's number one for me

that was contemporary styling back then , now it looks like a space ship.
Space ships from 1993 are a lot sexier than today's cars/SUVs!
I agree. I would rather own these old cars the nowadays stuff.
@@PunksloveTrumpys Better yet , no condom needed ;P
@@ironinquisitor3656 Agreed , it was a good value car , I want one some day :)
“Ford! The we don’t even make cars anymore car company.
Haha, that roof mounted light can be found in the Australian built Ford Fairlane from 95-98.
It's gunna GET YOU!!!

I love that music called shoreline de wolfe music

tl:dr chevrolet caprice is THE DEVIL
do you have a 01 f-150?
Brake on/off switch on the brake pedal is common for failing - not that expensive
@91Taurus Please, do upload it when You have time.
I WANT THE CELL PHONE!!
Woh! Did I hear a light saber in the first 15 seconds of the video?
what is leather cloth seating
How do I troubleshoot my 93 Crown Victoria Gets stuck on Parking.
Except for bad valve seals (not a terrible repair) these engines can run forever.
@MikePYaDig
I've got the same one in my Lincoln Mark VIII and its fine. Just fill it with CDs and forget about it......I don't see the problem
When cars were cars.
@dieselinside69
I don't have a '95 but I might have a '93........I'll have to check
AARP card required to purchase
and boom a phone!
How do they train people for when the car explodes into flame?
that car is a taxi

The Crown Vic is no more.
I know. I hate that Ford stop making them.
