Why was the album called that, though? It really doesn't have one "Jazz" song on there. The most Jazz-like Queen song that I can think of would be "My Melancholy Blues".

This song only could have made them eternal rock legends. And this is one of... how many hits? The dynamics, the power, the synchronicity between these folks is beyond words. Perfect constellation.
And the mixing+ recording is insane. This is top of the class stuff, examplary.
Just a damn good song! Makes me shake my head in complete awe at the song writing genius of the one and only Mr. Freddie Mercury!! Then Brian just demolishes that guitar with his amazing riffs! Roger & John on drums and bass complete the power and energy of this awesome song!

I have recently started listening to all Queen's albums one by one, with a more mature ear than when I was 15. I am literally amazed by their intrinsic genius, of course in music, but also in the lyrics. This one is an example of pure genius to me. The reference to the song in Japanese, the choice of words "we'll give you ground for divorce", " We give you rock a la carte". Proud and conscious of their high music level. I am amazed. No wait, I am entertained :)

It's not an easy one to sing. I don't think any of their post-Mercury front men could have done it justice, especially live. I wouldn't be surprised if that was why they've not gone back to it.

Don't give all the credit to him, the guitar parts are thanks to Brian, he's not always the one that makes everything, Queen is a band, and Freddie is the star of that band, but don't forget the importance of Deacon, Roger and Brian, they're all special and made a perfect combo.

Ironic cause it was only ever the opening song for a few shows on the Crazy Tour (which in itself is a pretty short tour). It was usually the second or third song on the setlist from 1978-1981.
