Simon Gabriel I Concerto I Philip Sparke I European Soloist Competition 2023 I RTR Musica

Der junge Schweizer Kornettist Simon Gabriel hat im Rahmen der European Soloist Competition 2023 in Malmö den Schritt ins Finale geschafft. Dort hat er das Stück «Concerto für Cornet und Brass Band» von Philip Sparke vorgetragen, wobei er von der Concord Brass Band aus Dänemark begleitet wurde. Mit seiner Vorstellung konnte er den dritten Platz erreichen, sowie den Publikums- und Bandpreis (verliehen durch die Mitglieder der Concord Brass Band) gewinnen.

La Concord Brass Band dal Danemarc ha accumpagnà el durant il final. Cun sia preschentaziun ha el cuntanschì il terz plaz, sco era gudagnà il premi dal public e da la band (surdà entras commembras e commembers da la Concord Brass Band).

Many thanks for the remark! You are of course right, although Simon Gabriel plays both, in this case he plays a cornet and not a trumpet! Nevertheless, he is a great talent - be it with cornet or trumpet.
