The bracket for G2 and their world rank: Mouz (1), FaZe (2), Vitality (3). They eliminated world 1-3.
You could not get a worse bracket and they still won.

His point was if G2 were on the other side of the bracket they would’ve had to play spirit instead of 9z in semis

Jason is crazy with the every player can learn every position take, every player has attributes that have pros and cons for each position and its about finding where you can best use their pros not shoving them somewhere they cant play and waiting for them to get better
You're missing the point. It's not about who in the moment has the best attributes and playstyle to fit into a certain role, it's the fact that given time any player has the capability to adapt and learn to fit a new role if it's required. It's not an optimal solution of course.

Because he's not the only one being inconsistent. Spinx is a known playoffs choker and had 0 impact, flamez needs more experience and zywoo either pops off or ghosts matches. People are blaming apex but I think that's a lazy take. How is he gonna call a game when all of his players are a coin flip.

in the 6 min mark rn and theyre right about the way apex told mezii to utilize the crowd that was against them during that post plant 1v1 with nexa was just so crazy to see
and it's not even top 15 moments in this entire series, such a fucking masterclass match of counter strike

In terms of the crowd. It reminded me a bit of Philadelphia where the fans are know to be assholes but passionate. Would like EU fans and teams to take that into consideration, you guys come here once a year and we were given one player on stage to root for. So instead of showing that we’re grateful by loving everyone, the fans showed how much they care by showing love to one team/ gstew and the rest got booed and rooted against in good spirit . The NA event can be know for an event that is gonna be tough to win as an away team, which will make it even more cool to win on the road. Think the crowd did exactly what needed to happen. Eu Teams will make it a point next year if you go against an NA rep. on stage gotta be ready for the 6th man.
I had so much fun routing for G2. Both teams at the final played great. It was very entertaining. NA really needs there own team to root for.

Spunj once again trashing sh1ro for something he's not actually bad at. sh1ro's average FOR HIS OWN LEVEL in playoffs. That's a 1.189 rating with .757 KPR in playoffs with a crowd. Not only well above the average pro, but top 5 for the period he's been playing T1 (four years). Also the game sh1ro cried at the RMR which Spunj brought up, sh1ro had a 1.28. Irresponsible to present that as "another sh1ro choke".
How did I trash shiro? Janko said he was trying his best in that series and I made a quip about him not always trying his best which is obvious sarcasm cos every time a player is in the server they try their best.. and Jason mentioned the event with the crying not me. Can you explain your agenda? Or you just waffling like this techmoron hater in the comments
Well to be fair to Spunj Shiro used to choke A LOT. He would get good ratings sure but would also cost his team rounds on repeat. Nice to see him back tho to playing some good cs
@@xlgapelsin6173 True but that was also literally his rookie year and I'd argue none of those games were winnable unless sh1ro went absolutely nuclear. The bar for "not a choker" shouldn't be "able to 1v9". He's just average for his own level on stage (but that level is far higher than almost any other player). Stockholm that MF could have dropped 30 and they were still going to get smashed by NAVI 2-0. Probably the last time (before copenhagen) you could say sh1ro choked was EPL 15 against Faze in the Ro12 where he had a 1.18 in the series but it was just because he stomped map 2 and padded DPR in blowouts on map 1/3. That was over 2 years ago.

He is the .5 when they were talking about the 2.5 vs 5, he was amazing in inferno, bad at anubis and amazing again in nuke
Vitality should take s1mple because he takes a lot of initiative and has his own thoughts on how to play the game if as you said their problem was players being so quiet and passive not taking initiatives. And even if s1mple is washed already compared to his GOAT form hes still an above average player with a very strong game sense and they got zywoo over there to carry the game.
there must be a budget for the team though... Imagine, they have had apex forever probably making a fortune, then zywoo who is probably the best payed cs2 player atm, then you have mezi which was fnatic carrier, flamez was OG best player... and then spinx.. so much money going on here.. if they get s1mple might not be as profitable

Why do people think Nexa is good in the clutch. He has a sub 50% 1v1 win rate. Statistically he is below average in the clutch.

To be honest I like the change away from open qualifiers but I still really hope that the RMRs stay. I know some people dont like that qualifying is such a big deal but I fucking love it, I love the atmosphere and emotions. Its a given with the biggest tournament of the year, and taking that away for something so anticlimactic as simply getting an invite to the tournament itself off of points takes all of that away. I want to see the very moment someone qualifies for the major, not just read a spreadsheet about it. No open quals for major means that we dont get all these grifter orgs, we dont have all the issues that people wanna pretend they werent constantly crying about, and you have to actually do well over a longer period than 1 week, I enjoy that, but the qualifying process itself in its entirety surely cant just be some algorithm deciding it, right?

I remember at ESL NY in 2019 Device and Astralis got upset that the crowd booed them. They were playing Liquid. It’s nothing personal, it’s sports. The crowd wants to have a favorite and a team to boo.
So it’s never anything against the people, we all respect the people behind the players. It’s just fun to cheer and boo in a sports crowd environment.
ESL One New York was crazy because it was after that banger quarter final in Berlin where Dupreeh said their goal was to deny Liquid winning the Major. Then Twistzz promised Liquid fans they were gonna win in New York. I remember that dude before the New York rematch who told sado that there's 0% chance liquid loses that game. That rivalry was iconic
At ESL NY in 2019 Astralis didn't get upset, that they got booed. They got upset that fans were calling out their positions.
