    Fishing is about adapting, what you are doing this year might not work next year, so I’m showing you the way to adapt and if you don’t like the new way, then I don’t know what to say. The old way don’t work as good now days because of fishing pressure. So be glad I’ve told you what I have because one day I won’t be here to teach.

    Absolutely love your videos. I have live scope and started catching/ sniping with a cork as soon as I saw what depth they were at. All due to your excellent teaching. You are a great fisherman have a pleasant personality.

    I've had livescope on my boat for a year now. Do I catch more fish with it, I definitely do. It eliminates dead water and tells me where fish actually are instead of wasting time on spots with no fish. I could catch fish without livescope but it's a lot more fun using it. I really want to say to you that you're a hell of a fisherman. I've watched your videos going back 5 years and all the fish you caught without ever having livescope in your boat. You didn't ever need or think you wanted livescope at the time but what a wonderful gift your friend Mario gave you. It's a totally different tool to fish and its fun to use. I'll be honest, I thought when you first got it you would struggle some seeing your jig, etc but you proved me wrong. In fact, one of the hardest ways to fish for crappie is open water when the fish are not grouped together and are just roaming single. You have already dialed them in on the pattern and that is super impressive. Those fish are usually skidish and easily startled but you have figured out how to catch them on that pattern. I laugh at the negative comments people write about livescope. They just don't realize it's not as easy as it looks. A lot of times the fish won't even bite and that's the frustrating thing, seeing it in real time. Watching you videos has helped my dad and I have more conversations today than we normally would. He's in his 80's and although he's mentally sharp, physically he can't go fishing anymore. We talk about your videos all the time and text each other when the new video comes out. It takes us back to the days when him and I were able to go together and had great times. I'm grateful for you and your channel. You and your channel are a huge positive in my life and I'm thankful you take the time to do it. I'm sorry for the long post but I wanted to let you know we appreciate you and always look forward to the next video.

    Thank you for sharing! Heard you say something about not seeing your minnow on the livescope. Not sure but I was having same problem. I had to adjust my TVG setting to low and in some instances turn it off to get it to show my bait and jig failing into the fish. Not sure what the setting does but it help me. You are one of the most enjoyable channels that I watch! I know it takes a lot to put these videos together but to some of us who work so much and can’t get out on the water as much, it helps to enjoy the experience with you! Stay safe and God bless you sir!

      I just read some of the comments. It looks like someone had someone had a negative comment. Don't get rattled and i know it's hard not to. Sometimes those aren't even real people , i guess i was raised a little bit different. My parents always said keep your negative comments to yourself. And i had older brothers so you couldn't run your mouth to much 😆😆

    Enjoyed the video! Heard you say something about hard to get fish out of the live well I was having the same problem and I found a small dip net at Walmart like you dip trout with when you are wading and it works really good. The handle and net all together might be 16 inches long and it’s small enough it will fit in the well little aggravating dipping but it beats the heck out of getting finned and getting a wet arm. Just a thought but I look forward everyday to watch you catching them slabs. Enjoy it!!

    I gotta say I like the new boat and the live scope. But it's just not the same as it was when I first found you on you tube. I have gained so much knowledge about fishing with just the depth fish finder and jigging and the comalander swing. But I can't afford the live scope and I miss the old way you taught many people to fish.

    • @theoldfisherman2040
      @theoldfisherman2040  Год назад +2

      It's about adapting with the times, because fishing changes every year. After I show my way and everybody starts using them the fish get harder to catch, so if you don't find new was to catch them you might be out of luck. If you don't like adapting with The Old Fisherman then we won't be able to put up new videos, and I will just keep on adapting without the cameras being on.

    • @jimmycox5081
      @jimmycox5081 Год назад +1

      Makes sense you got to keep the channel going for sure . I just miss the old way of watching you. Maybe one day I will get to enjoy the live scope experience. In the mean time I will do it the old way the old fisherman taught me and use the comalander swing. I will keep on watching and maybe one day I will get a live scope given to me one day to. Loving life with the old fisherman.

    It won't be long with all these live scope fishermen that the limits will be lowered!! The biggest part of the fish caught right now are in the open water which, if you didn't have live scope very few of those fish would have been caught. During the spawn I'm sure it's even worse! Dale
