I like Haydunn because his commentary feels like he’s an actual pokemon trainer posting recordings of his previous/recent battles instead of some guy giving a literal play by play of the things we can all see happening on the screen. The nicknames are equally fun
The only gameplay I enjoy watching from people is Wolfey Freezai and Haydunn, I also like that they don’t just use the strong Pokemon, always something unique
I just want to say that I absolutely LOVE that you put so much work into finding ways to use every pokemon and make them as viable as you can. Every pokemon is somebody's favorite and they all deserve to be able to use their favorites without having to feeling like they're super nerfing themself unnecessarily. Two of my top favorites are Sandslash and Gliscor, which I know you've made videos on before and I appreciate that. Edit: spelling
Hell, yes! I've been asking for the Magmortar video and here it is. It's so nice to see that Haydunn does read the comments and cares about his viewers. This channel really helped me through tough times. Thanks a million, Haydunn!
I only tend to use Pokemon that I like the design of, even if adding certain mons would help me out more. I refuse to use Cinderace, Incineroar, and Conkeldurr! Among others lol. I love that Haydunn just uses what he thinks is cool and tries to make it work lol
I’d love to see you use Grumpig! Grumpig @ Salac Berry Ability: Gluttony 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed, 4 Sp. Def Nature: Timid IVs: 0 Atk -Nasty Plot -Psychic -Dazzling Gleam -Shadow Ball Grumpig has the bulk to take an attack, activate Salac Berry at 1/2 HP with Gluttony, and set up. @@prof.reuniclus21 also grumpig gets nplot so that would be better than calm mind if you going for a fast sweeper. if its calm mind i would also go for stored power instead since its bulky setup
@@En-moosic That’s fair! Grumpig doesn’t have the best physical bulk, only really being able to survive one strong neutral hit. I’m going to change it to Nasty Plot now.
I actually went to the trouble of breeding myself a 6IV Magby to make a mixed attacking Magmortar, I forget the exact stat distribution but it was SpA/HP with enough points taken from those stats to get Atk high enough for Cross Chop to take down Eviolite Chansey and anything squishier. Caught a lot of people off guard with that random physical coverage. Assault Vest paired with the HP investment and good SpD made it decently bulky on the special side. I liked it a lot even if it's not, like, statistically the best. Was always super satisfying any time someone would bring out a specially defensive wall; they swap to it thinking it'll eat the attack, instead lose like half or more because their rock/normal/steel special defensive wall just got punched in the face and have to panic figuring out who *else* on their team can take it.
Always look forward to watching these amazing videos, cool combos and the commentary is good too 😂, I too find my self up against weather teams alot, but I do have some great battles with my trickroom team
Honestly, any pure fire type that has grass coverage is gonna do just fine. Grass wrecks everything that hits fire super effectively. Rocks? Broken. Ground? Grown on. Water? Absorbed. The only thing you gotta worry bout is when those moves are on mons not as stab, but coverage
I don't know why GF decided to put 95 points in physical attack when magmortar is clearly a special attacker. Those points could've gone to speed or bulk, which would make magmortar more viable.
Magmar already had 95 attack but they decidedes to drop speed 10 points from magmar instead. Same thing with electabuzz, it has 95 special attack but they dropped speed by 10 instead.
@@SummonersBand Did the same thing with my 2nd favorite mon honchkrow but at least he has priority (unfortunately they nerfed him this gen by removing superpower though 😔 )
I feel like this paired with your regice strategy would be a decent set of things covered hazards, some good bulk and good sp atk and normal atk, which with a good speed mon seems like pretty good covergae that some might not expect.
To be fair, he might have made the assumption based off the fact that Petal Dance is pretty much the only move in the game that's both Special _and_ a contact move.
Wish the wifi battles would show the entry hazards on the floor like showdown. Not hard to remember which ones are there but it just looks good. Been having a lot of fun with wifi battles though
8:55 How was that a speed tie? The Ditto touched the Sticky Web so it should have been slower. It had a Red Card so no Choice Scarf and Tailwind wind had petered out.
The Ditto does initially lose it's speed upon being switched in, but when a Pokemon transforms it also copies stat changes. Since Magmortar has no stat changes, the Ditto transforms into Magmortar with no stat changes.
Loved magmar since gen 1, loved when magmortar got introduced. Always sad he's just not quite good enough to see any competitive use. Thanks for putting a spotlight on him, Hayden.
This video had me realize that Excadrill is actually naturally faster than Blaziken, which I definitely didn't expect. It's only by 8 points, but still.
the saddest thing about old Maggy here is that he didn't get any unique new abilirty like Motor Drive Electrivire, and Solid Rock Ryperior, and even old Electrivire just got his handed to a random Zebra
This sounds absolutely crazy, but have you ever considered using Vivillon? It’s stats and typing are awful, but I really think it has potential with quiver dance, compound eyes, and good coverage
