Thank you sir. About to slap on my exhaust for the 2021 Tracer 9 GT. It's very similar so this was a good guideline and great tips. I'll probably toss a video up of the Tracer exhuast going on incase anyone here is looking for that. This was enough to get me going though! Thank you very much man. Your collection is awesome!

Awesome video! It's like being there watching the work being done and learning. Now I have a better idea of what it takes to replace the exhaust on my 2020 MT-09. Great sound!

Sounds awesome as always from Akrapovic…I just really am not liking the high mounted exhaust on this bike. I really wish they kept the same or similar design of the previous Gen setups. I have a blue 21 on order and it’s looking like end of September. I’m hoping The Yoshi AT2 system will be shipping by then because that’s probably the route I’m gonna go for mine. Loving everything else about your bike though! Definitely looking good 👊🏼👌🏼

@@FirstLast-ln3ly I don’t think the yosh shortys have ever really had an issue with lean angle clearance. Not certain but I wouldn’t be concerned with that at all on a sport bike
Yo YamaYari congrats on that new exhaust man looks good and sounds like a beast. For me I'm thinking either a Toce or M4 full exhaust. Unfortunately I'm not that mechanically inclined, maybe I'll learn at some point but gotta get me a bike first and start with the little mods first. Like always Ride Safe bro.

Is the header titanium or stainless steel.
I believe stainless steel due to the price point.

I just installed a akrapovic homologated exhaust on mine and it’s way too quiet. I believe I’m gonna send it back. I didn’t want it crazy loud. But it’s no different from stock.

Did u have any problems with this exhaust ? Because the lambda is not at the same spot with the original and the Akra. Yamaha said to me that they have a lot of issues with this exhaust.
hey man! sick exhaust! but how are you able to start the bike with the stand engaged and not pulling on the clutch?
🙏 all I do is turn the key, make sure it’s in neutral then hit the start. Varoooom!
@@yamayari8351 did you disable the kickstand kill switch? Cause mines won’t start with the kick stand engaged.
@@jellytime2743 no. Just put it in neutral first. Then start it. Try that.
I'm still stuck on the 1st bolt and I can't seem to fit my swivel in there.
My swivel is about 6 inches. An I use a very short socket. Any shorter or longer could make it difficult

Did you have to tune the ecm with this exhaust system?
Did you or would you recommend getting your engine re-tuned for the new exhaust? I've been looking at changing my exhaust too but I keep hearing that it'll need a re-tune to the new exhaust? Thanks!!
So my bike actually made 3 hp more with the new exhaust done vs the stock exhaust. So I do not think you need a tune. But any Dyno tune would help the bike Tremendously
If you get rid of the day you will 100% need a tune otherwise it will run rich and you won't maximise the benefits of the exhaust and getting rid of the limited and Nanny tune to meet euro compliance

Are you planning to install an aftermarket air filter and have the ecu flashed as well?
Had a snappier feel at high revs for sure! And sounds good. Not to loud as well. Also I will flash it and put an K&N air filter once it’s available ❤️

Sounds and looks great! I just wish it was shorter so I doesn’t cover so much of the swing arm. Still nice addition! Also if I’m not mistaken it’s pronounced Ah Crop Ah Vitch, it’s Slovenia company so all the letters sound completely different! I was promptly corrected buy a guy running an Akrapovič stall selling exhaust systems at a Moto GP race 😂

for got to ask did you ever get a power commander and get an ecu flash? if so id love to hear about it! this is my second time watching this vid but i want to see how the fueling is with the back pressure change and such if you can do follow up on this id be great full! awsome vids as always !

Do bikes pass inspection with full exhaust systems? What about cops and any possible fines for not having a cat converter? Just wanting to know those details. Thanks!
In Florida no. No inspections and full exhausts are permitted for now. We will see as time goes on. Thank you for watching the channel. Means a lot.

Great video, Is it necessary to tighten header nuts to specified torque? The akrapovic instruction said torque for these nuts is 22Nm. I'm afraid i will break maniford bolts with that torque.
Honestly I just did it till I felt it was tight enough. But 22Nm seems about right. You can also look up the factory stock header torque probably in the service manual as well. Thank you for watching the channel. Ride safe!
When you installed this exhaust did you have a tune or power commander? If not did you notice any issues with the performance after the install? I ask because I am about to install my exhaust and I don't plan on tuning or putting a power commander until this winter this year.
I did not flash it. An it ran better. Even Dyno numbers where better than a stock MT09 with stock exhaust. So I was happy about that!
Yamayari did you get any engine lights or lack of power after installing this exhaust before tune?

Took me so long to do this with the limted tools I had. That damn radiator bracket.
The radiator bracket was a Beeeoutchhhh but after a solid 15 minutes to got it back in lol
The baffle I use a shovel Handel. From the opposite side of the exhaust. I explain in the video. Was not so bad but I had to really hit it hard.
How does the bike run without a tune and the exhaust? I’m debating about getting one. Is it like choppy or running a lil worse than stock down low in the revs or up high?
It should run fine i think the akro makes use of the bikes o2 sensors
Runs even better! There is a video, unfortunately I can’t find it where they DYNO the same bike and exhaust before and after without tune and it added torque and horsepower. That’s my experience as well. Seems to run better.

Just installed the same exhaust on my 09 too. I did notice it runs a lot better with the baffle in just like my 18 did. Too much loss on the low end in my opinion without it.
Good to no. Does it feel lean? Like in the low RPM range?
@@yamayari8351 i just feel like it runs better with the baffle in. Its gonna run lean with or without the baffle until someone can tune that ecu. When you get that dark blue/purple color at the headers that usually a sign of a lean mixture. Mine are already pretty dark.

Honestly not sure. Sorry. i just did it tight, but not to tight.
Did you had to flash the ECU after changing to the Akra?
No I did not have too. I was told the bike was tuned from factory to accept a little more air flow exactly for that reason. Because they knew we would install aftermarket exhaust. It also runs a little better too. No flash available as of yet either.
What license plate tidy bracket is that and where did you get it?

I bought the same exhaust and it shows up tomorrow how did you finish routing that o2 sensor and is the bike throwing a check engine code?
No engine code came up. Then for the wiring I went over the left side of the engine and fastened it with the cables and spacing above the quick shifter. Tie wrapped and secured.
Your going to love it. I took the baffle out before the install.

It says this product was designed for closed course only. But it’s just a sticker. Can peel right off.

Mmmm not that stands out to me. Is it obvious? Or soft?
@@yamayari8351 it’s obvious. It’s like a loud valve tick. Then it quiets down then you hear the normal soft faint tick. I spoke to another owner and he has it too. I’ve heard it’s just how it warms up and not really anything to worry about , just wanted to see if yours would do it too.

What’s the DB levels with and without the DB killer
Their about 20-25 dbs I believe. An I think in total like 120????? But I’m really not to sure.
Does it pop in revs or upshifts like the old MT-09?
So far no. Sounds really smooth even on an aggressive decel.
Ok so today when I got on it hard it pops so so slightly on the up shift. Sounds cool :)
How did you get the rad screw back on I can't do it it seems impossible
The radiator mount screw? I put it back on the socket, an slowly lined it up and screwed it by hand first. Then used the ratchet
It was a pain I gave up I tried to put my hands in and I couldn't do it
@@marcodigennaro6013 get a magnetic socket. An extension with a swivel. Should work with no hands. Just be patient. Attach the bottom of the bracket to the radiator. Then pull the radiator back just a little so you can put the screw through the hole first with the magnetic socket. Then line it up and slowly push the screw in bro the hole as you tighten slowly. Should work. Like a doctor:)

Is that rust on the stock exhaust?
Im not sure if it’s rust or like a stain???? I did get stuck in a bad rain storm after leaving TST industries head quarters when installing many of the aftermarket parts so possibly. Does look like surface rust for sure.
