Brandon Ellis’ scorching yet tasteful solo in “Aftermath,” the new single from The Black Dahlia Murder! Impeccable flow and note choice in this solo, and the best vibrato in the game. That ascending arpeggio lick at the end just about killed me, haha. Played in D standard since Brandon’s got a few more frets than most of the rest of us do, with his 27-fret custom shop Kelly.
How are y’all feeling about the new track? Super bittersweet to hear them without Trevor, but Brian crushed it stepping into the frontman role. Really excited to hear more from the album, and to see the Dahlia crew forging their way onwards in spite of everything.
