Some people will argue that this is not Defensive Driving. So look at this Oakland incident. @@EnjoyFirefighting just check the surveillance video again and you are correct in that the sedan stopped for the engine as it passed through the intersection. The ladder truck pulled to the right to avoid the sedan which was now directly in front of the truck. That action caused the truck to just miss the sedan, but crash onto the corner building, and as I mentioned, the car which had now run the red light and caused the accident, continued on its way, which unfortunately is typical of life in Oakland. @@Normal1855 You cannot expect civilians to do what they're supposed to do. Firemen have training, and should have common sense, and ARE held to a higher standard. This is the engineers fault. No debate.
@@davebro2351 it doesn't matter. I've been driving for over 35 years, and never had an accident with an emergency vehicle. Even when I had the green light, and I heard sirens, I looked before I pulled out. And then I only crawl into the intersection. I don't race into the intersection. Also, the difference here is, this car had the red light. They didn't want to wait. This is all on the car, and nothing on the firetruck. As far as being professional. The driver of the car, knew what they were supposed to do, but they chose not to do the right thing. The fireman, had a whole lot of things on his mind. The driver of the car, has one thing. Not to cause an accident. And he couldn't even do that one thing right.
Hhahahahaha.....If I were driving that truck, I would have just smashed the car that was the cause of it and not tried to avoid them. then gone on to the call, just leave them there.
Clearly drunk driving while texting. 😆
