Incredible work, as always. Your attention to details and lighting in your miniature mise-en-scène is beautiful. And I really appreciate the real talk on burnout as well.
Project burnout is the worst feeling for a creative person, but in my own experience those projects, when finally done, are a triumph. They push us and we are better artists at the end. Your project is a triumph!!
I’ve found the same thing. My problem has always been managing with my chronic pain and not pushing myself so far that I hurt myself. It’s easy to forget what’s going on around us and in our body when we’re working, but it’s so important to check in. Remember to eat, stretch and take care of ourselves. I have to say though, loosing time while working, getting so sucked in it’s 4, 6 8 hours later without realizing, that passion and love is one of my favorite things about being an artist and designer. It’s hard to explain the feeling and experiences to people that have never experienced it. It’s special.
This build is great. The final results are beautiful. Love to see you using the 3D printer to make your life easier. Burnout is real and sucks the joy out of any craft. Using tools like a 3D printer can extend your capacity and add longevity to your project morale. Print away, man. You’re killing it
I am so glad you being real about burn out! Definitely take time for yourself when needed. This build came out fantastic and I really enjoyed seeing how you set up the cameras and lights to get the shots. Are you going to do more with this house? Maybe some interior shots? I know 1/24 scale is tougher to get details but the house is just too cool to only have 1 video over!
Thanks Ara! That's a great question. I haven't planned anything more with it but that might be interesting to explore! Wrapping my head around building this thing at all (I do NOT know much of anything about architecture) was a big hurdle!
Thanks man! Yeah, the base for this is one of those things that worked for the photos, but not sure it’s sticking around in my tiny apartment for long.
My friend, you do stunning work. I'm so glad Cajun Craftastrophe turned me onto your channel. Also I wanted to thank you, sincerely, for your words on burnout. I'm feeling it more and more lately, so it's reassuring when it's brought up by someone at your level. Thank you again..
Crafsman, I've been watching you here and there for a while and you always make my wife and I laugh! You inspire me to try new things and have fun with it. I appreciate the time you take to make your videos and I know that can't always be easy. Thanks for reaching out!
Very nice! Been waiting for this for a while. I know, and probably a lot of other people know, that there comes a point that you have to step back and take a break from the hobby ( or even work, that’s why we get holidays!) to regroup and re energize. Thanks again for sharing!
You have accumulated an impressive tool box of skills doing these builds. Excellent work once again! Edited to add: Your inspector should always be a part of your videos 🙂
Your models are so engaging to watch you build, and the attention to detail is exquisite. As you said, burn-out can and does happen. Dealing with it is as important. Thank you again for taking the time to not only build your amazing creations, but film the processes as well. That's a lot of extra work! I for one appreciate the work you do.
This looks fantastic! You did such a great job. I'm so sorry you felt burnt out but thank you for sharing with us. It is nice to see creators being real. Remember that your health comes first. Take care of yourself.
Sensational end result as usual! I've been making minis for years and I can't believe you did this in less than a couple of weeks on top of a full-time job so no wonder you were feeling the pinch. Glad you are keeping it real and taking the breaks you need so you don't burn out - nothing takes the fun out of a hobby like a tight deadline.
I am so thrilled to see how you're developing! Making half scale(1:24) anything is pretty exacting as I know well, but you've done a fantastic job! Using the 3D printer really helps!
This house is huge! And it looks very cool, I actually can believe that it's a living place. Well, while there is no enormous cat nearby. I hope we'll see some made-by-you rooms one day. I miss your interiors...
Absolutely loved this video, you did an absolutely amazing job as usual! Would you consider doing a video or adding in during commentary some of your favourite channels for learning modelling techniques? I have found at least 3 new channels just from what you have mentioned in your videos. Keep up the great work and take the time you need so you don’t burn out! I think we’d all rather keep seeing your videos, even if it was less often/regularly, then have you burn out and not want to do them at all.
Please be so grateful for your awesome tools! I’m Lakota, and I make Native American miniatures. I’d kill for a 3D printer, but making everything by hand makes me feel pretty rock-star when I pull off what I’m aiming for. That being said-I love your art! Thank you for your tutorials and for sharing your work. I love making my work appear aged, and it’s been a great help learning from you. Please hug your 3D printers for me.
Man Nic, you're CRAZY! Crazy awesome! The amount of effort that you put into your work is amazing. I know that I am late to the party on this video, but my head has been engulfed with a diorama that I'm building (some dude who builds little abandoned buildings inspired it... Maybe you know him?). Phenomenal work as usual!
So glad to see you take safety precautions. I know a retired carpenter, who has severe skin and respiratory problems from working with strong glues and dust from various materials for decades. Prolonged exposure keeps adding up gradually and sneakily, and that makes it all the more dangerous. A healthy craftsperson is one who can craft for longer, so always put your health first.
Howdy, I'd forgotten about the new Ghostbusters movie - went and watched the trailer. Smiling from ear to ear - this is terrific. You rock dude. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that is amazing. The weathered external boards look absolutely realistic. The outcome was really worth your effort. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
I completely understand about the burnout. I did a massive diorama about 4 years ago and I still have reservations in making more because it does require so much detail. I like to make it look as realistic and movie accurate as possible. Nice work. You always do a phenomenal job.
I have learned so much about miniature scenery and house painting from watching your stuff. Looking forward to the next video, but don't burn yourself out for our sake. Take care of yourself, mate.
The work you do is fantastic. What I build is much smaller. I would love it if you would comment on how you find storage space for these large projects. They take up so much room. Hope you respond to this question that I’m sure others wonder about too. Many thanks.
Really really cool. If you have a Filament printer you can make your own lattice work. Here’s how I do it. I use cura but I start with a square spread out to cover the whole plate and drop it down to 1mm and then take off the top and bottom layers with an infill zigzag pattern at I’d say 25-30% and you’ll get a whole sheet of latticework in about 15 minutes. Just a maker here just in case you need something like this. Really love this channel.
Awesome build man! I know the feeling of project burnout. It sucks, but at least the final product turned out looking amazing! Keep up the awesome work
Amazing as always , glad you powered through and ended up with this fantastic result . When a hobby starts to feel like work then its time to take a break . Your projects are so detailed and then you make these entertaing and informative videos , you deserve a break .
This build is so massive, I cannot imagine the amount of effort, detailing and planning that must have been needed. Plus, cleaning the studio and all that behind the camera work can be exhausting. Thank you so much for such fantastic content and for keeping it real. It really helps. Also, thanks to you, I have started making my content from iPhone. It is less intimidating and works just fine for me. Something that you suggested in your previous video. Cheers!
Great build mate. All art related ppl have their burn outs, it's just part of out nature. But when we overcome it, we come out better in what we are doing. Keep the good work 👍
I think you did an amazing job on this!! Your work is so beautiful!! Your photography is beautiful! ! I truly hope the negative comments won't deter you from your art!!! This one looked like it took a while!! And the result was well worth it!!!!!
I love the work you do, the atmosphere you create between the background with the Chroma filter, the lighting and the model itself is very professional. Good idea to motorize the camera shot, you get a very cinematic result. Congratulations!
I was searching for how the making if the house on netflix and came across your video... let me tell you, this was epic and cool to watch !!! Im now a new subscriber!
I love your projects and work, I know there’s always gonna be haters but you keep doing you because I’m pretty sure it’s not only me who learns something new with every video. Hope everything goes well for you in life.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel just a few months ago . Your talent is mind-blowing. Honestly as a person like myself who liked to build dioramas / customs. I can appreciate every detail and every bit of building ,painting, weathering , etc. You should always give yourself a pat on the back dude. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯💯💯💯✅✅✅✅🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Incredible work, as always. Your attention to details and lighting in your miniature mise-en-scène is beautiful. And I really appreciate the real talk on burnout as well.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! Just watched your Luigi’s mansion, I’m always amazed at the effort you put into your videos.
Project burnout is the worst feeling for a creative person, but in my own experience those projects, when finally done, are a triumph. They push us and we are better artists at the end. Your project is a triumph!!

Thank you! I don't have a FDM printer yet actually and haven't used one before. I am curious though so I'm sure I'll get to it at some point!
Amazing. Great job.
