They were going at about the same pace around the track, it looks like the golf was a little faster through the corners but the st had a bit more power.
I owned a Focus RS so I can compare to that only. Obviously it's a smaller car and less powerful, but the lightness and balance of the chassis is much nicer than the heavier bigger brothers.
@@2quickk depends what your looking for mate. If you want a fun and agile car to play around with then definitely worth it. If your not too bothered about the extra weight and just want more power then maybe not. I'd definitely take a fiesta over a focus ST, but over an RS that's a tricky question as it's more versatile especially in winter :)
With 180bhp you don't really need 17 inch. The car is quicker in 15, wheels are cheap cuz I got them from Fiesta Cup and tyres are cheaper also in 15 :)
@@adam_b7 yeah that is true.. But is there a difference in handling when switched from 17 to 15? Currently i have 17 inch and i found the car unstable when pushing on the limit on bumpy roads..
@@almins12 I think it might be a bit more stable on track on the 17. But its way more comfy on the road on 15 and they absorb bumps better, profile 50 on the tyre. But I drove Direzzas on track and they have a nice hard side so the precision was quite good.
@@mikewatson1675 Not sure where I almost lost the car there. Also, there is only one 2nd gear braking point where I slightly block a wheel for a millisecond, yet the change itself is precise as are all the others. No synchro noise no burnt clutch or anything wrong there 🤔🤔
Thanks. Nope, the suspension was stock. Some powerflex bushings here and there and an alignment change and that's all. Don't remember the compound 🙄 definitely not the softer one though.
Now that's how you drive a fiesta st. Brave and skilled mate.
Cheers 💪🏼
@@adam_b7 Too fast in and too slow out 👍
Congrats for the great driving. The car have amazing turn in. Superb fwd car.
Great job you made it fly round there
6:05 why didn't this guy pull over? Nice driving btw.

watching for my car; what day was this?
i did 242 laps between June 16 and July 23 2017, one set of brake pads, so many slow 9 minute laps.
Nice driving.
A speedometer cam would have made this video a little better....(my 2 pennies).
Also, what are the Pro's owning a Fiesta over a Focus ST?

@@adam_b7 So it the power to weight ratio worth it?

great drive and great lap!
Thanks Pal :)
@@adam_b7 wich size are the direzzas?

@@adam_b7 the best choice for track use😎
@@lurix91 definitely :)
Nice driving 👍. My Fiesta ST is just a grocery runner but do love the way she handles😁
Thanks, yep they do handle great :)
Great lap. I'm making my first visit in a few months in my fiesta. I shall be watching this lap a lot for driving tips.
Thanks :) I recommend Gabriele Piana's Fiesta lap, much better technique probably :)
Have you been here already? Could give you some tips 👍
Nice passes
Would NEVER mix it up with cars while on a bike out there😳
ESP off or just Sport mode? Great driving btw 👌
Thanks ;)
All off
@@adam_b7 thanks a lot for the fast answer :)
I am also planning to go trackdays in Turkey, IstanbulPark circuit. Thats why i asked

Looks like you need some harnesses and a better bucket seat aha
True, seat position was far from optimal.
The car is long gone tho :)
1:20 the Fiesta forgets it is FWD
Great video man👌
205/50/15??
Thanks, yup :)
@@adam_b7 thanks 👍
Muy buena vuelta a pesar del tráfico y las banderas.
Thanks 💪🏼
Do you get better lap times with the gloves on?
Sure 😅
Why did you put the 15 inch rims on the car? I have read that the car is more stable on bumpy roads with 15 inch rims

@@adam_b7 i Havel 16 inches
What tyres did you use in this video?
Dunlop Direzza
Hi mate, Is the car standard?
Hey, suspension and engine stock. Just had some Mintex brake pads and Direzza's on 15 inch wheels.
That Mini Cooper 🙆🏽♂️
The hard downshifts were painnnnful to watch. Yikes, your poor clutch lol
