khang, blend them up, skin and all and use as a fertilizer! its incredible for stress resistance

I have lots of aloe too. I knew you could use them in skin care products and on burns but I had no idea you could actually eat them.
It's ironic. It can save others from sunburn, but not itself.

one question, what's the name of the non-bitter variety you've been growing for 15 years?
Sorry I don't have the name. I asked my dad that gave it to me and he doesn't remember. The plant is enormous, but he leaves are much flatter. The flesh is white, not clear, and super crunchy.
The plant itself is Not bitter. It's the reddish purple color of the ends that you wouldn't eat anyway. The thick portions that are used, are not bitter. It is clear, no color and has No taste, no flavor just bland, which is fine as it won't influence whatever you add it to, e.g. smoothies. I also eat it plain, I cut chunks and put in my salads or by itself. It's great for digestion too . I've been eating them for decades and they are not bitter.
That's really cool. And I did not know that you could just cut off the whole top of it like that and keep it in your garage. I will have to keep that in mind. Thank you for this video.
You must provide some light, and the condition must be cool, not freezing.
@KhangStarr Yeah, this part of north Texas doesn't freeze too often, but when it does, it's super fun, not at all. But I had peppers growing in my garden past Christmas this year.
Saved a few plants in my garage over the winter.
i have a giant one. i had no idea they make a poison or whatever. when you cut them let that run off first. it's like dark yellowish.
your pups are bigger than my largest aloe plants, but I live in North Idaho, so here, the struggle is a struggle without a greenhouse.
You don't need a greenhouse. You can just grow them in pots indoors, e.g. kitchen or wherever. Some people like to even use the plant as decoration in living room but they are are not artificial they are the real thing. Just harvest from root area when needed to eat.
My aloe is looking sunburned under the same lights I'm using for pepper seedlings. Do they require a lot less light?

Yeah, those crazy videos growing strawberries on apple trees. Just because you threw strawberries at the base of it or something.😂 Does types of videos are just doing a disservice to gardening community.
