Ali Rafiq This man is a police officer, Mike Brown was a law breaker. The police officer job is to apprehend the law breaker not sit in a locked car. The cop did not know if brown was armed or not all he knew is that brown was a bold , violent and dangerous man and his job was to stop him. I am very impressed with the explanation that officer Wilson gave George.

Mark Dice i'm not so sure that Darren Wilson is telling the truth I can feel that he is lying about the whole thing! I don't defend either side as a Christian! if you see in the beginning of the video you will see Darren Wilson grinning if though nothing ever happened and plus the witnesses that seen him shoot Mike Brown how is it that his story stands out as the truth? and the witness's testimony get put off as a lie? Mark Dice are you sure he is telling the truth? Because anyone can tell a story and the hold world would believe it! and you call yourself a christian? Mark Dice but I will call you a hypocrite! real Christian preach the true gospel by telling people about Jesus Christ! and i'm here to call you out on it false teacher.

All he had to do was co-operate with the cop when he showed up. No one is bigger than the law. It's simple, you poke the bear, you pay the price.

I can only imagine how difficult that must be in this poor man's mind during those moments: "If I don't stop this man, I'm going to die. If I don't stop this violent criminal, I'll never see my wife and kids again. If he gets my gun, or knocks me out, or stabs me, he could kill how many more people today!?"

Wilson was in an incompetent police department that got disbanded because they handled their community terrible. He's been through a lot though. It may have been self defense, but no one had to die. Mike Brown was unarmed. He should have used a non-lethal weapon.
Either way, both the media AND the people have put him through hell. He probably has a lot on his mind. He killed an 18-year old, but he also killed a black teenager. That of course makes him the epitome of racism and injustice in America.

Amazing interview. Sobering. Unless it can be shown to be untrue, I would have easily felt the same way as Ofc. Wilson and, had I received the same training, responded in the same professional and justifiable manner. Where are those people grieving over the fact that this young person was raised in such a way to believe that, stoned, he could violently assault a store owner, take what didn't belong to him, and contemptuously threaten and assault a police officer and just walk away, and that it does not merit parental or community disapproval? This young man was a fleeing fugitive felon (felony 1: strong-arm robbery; felony 2: assault on an officer with attempted deadly force); in ANY jurisdiction, apprehending him would merit deadly force.

Dear Mr. Wilson, I prayed for you and Mike Brown. Most people don't understand where you are coming from as a cop and most importanly, as a person that had your life threatened. Me, I do understand. I don't have experience being a cop but numerous times as a kid growing up I had my life threatened in the middle of a fight. I was jumped by five girls in elementary. I also was in a lot of fights growing up. I got into so many fights because I got bullied constantly everyday. It got to the point that I started contemplating how I would fight my fights to protect myself. If I were you and Mike Brown reached for my gun, I would have kept his hand there and tazed him in the hand continuasly until he fell to the ground. Option#2 I would have drug him with my car while his hand was in my car with the car in second gear until he fell to the ground and called for backup. I will continue to pray for you and the Brown Family. GOD BLESS YOU SIR. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY.

He says in the video that Brown was walking in the middle of the street and so he asked him to move. I'm VERY sure he didn't just ask nicely. He's racist, so he probably said the crazy, evil comment about him being in the street and Brown got mad and got smart with him. Which made Wilson angry and that's when things got ugly.

Darren Wilson, you haven't started seeing demons, and people looking like the hulk. This is just the beginning. My grandparents always told me "If you kill someone with a gun, you too will die by a gun". You reap, what you sow. The wrath of God is surely real. Hell is very real! You will continue hide away from people, IS THAT A LIFE? Look at George Zimmerman's life after Trayvon Martin's case, he's been in one trouble or another. Good luck to you and try to enjoy your days on earth because God's punishment is eternity. And for you to feel no remorse for killing a fellow human, YOU ARE A GREAT DEMON! You did not give him life. Officer Wilson is a great officer. Thank God for him and pray we have more officers like him.
As for brown he made his bed. He had so many opportunities to do right but instead he chose the wrong path.
Wilson is the victim. Who was in fear of his life. Let this be a lesson to all thugs dont attack police officers . do exactly what they say . if...... You do this then like the millions of people whether black white or Hispanic you will live to see another day:) america what happened to your common sense? I sincerely disagree. Police has terrible PR and they have taken no actions to improve on it.
Infact, the only ones i seen trying to take action is police in new york but they still have a long way to go. They decided to train their police in language, to make police officers stop saying "fuck" and other curses.

Did you teach your son to tell the truth and be honest ?
Did you teach your son to be kind and not violent ?
Did you teach your son not to steal but to work for the things he wants?
Did you do the best you could for your son ?
Apparently not.... And if you did..your best wasn't good enough you failed.

N Mil I respect that opinion. I just think that he should have been indicted or not brought to a grand jury at all since the prosecutor got confused and played defense the whole time (months). Should he have been convicted of something? Maybe (not murder, imo). The case was an example of just how much we don't hold officers accountable for their actions. Wilson was well within his right to defend himself, but I think a trial is in order when someone ends up with a shot to the head and the other has a bruise that looks like a rash. The difference between how the grand jury was carried out for an officer (multiple months, crapton [i.e. overload] of evidence, etc) and a civilian shouldn't be so great.

The only honest answer here is we don't know what actually happened for sure.
If we continue on with our honesty, then we need to ask one more question. Would black people have gone on the rampage if it were a black police officer? If the answer is "no" then it is not the circumstances that were on trial here, but rather the colour of the officer's skin.

• @6strings1pickup12
@6strings1pickup12 9 лет назад +1

Exactly. With the exception that we do know quite a bit about what happened. The Coroner's report shows that many of the witnesses lied. Hell, even many other witnesses say that some of the witnesses lied. The people who SHOULD be on trial are those who seized the opportunity to stir racial tensions, incite riots and get innocent people killed even before the facts came out. It's illegal to shout "FIRE!" in crowded movie theater when there is no fire. This is the same type of situation and some people need to be behind bars right now.

I live in Europe and I dont understand why Americans make such a big deal about this. You have to put yourself in that situation. What would you do if you know someone wants to take your gun to shoot you? Police officers are people doing their job like anybody else. People blame police officers in these situations when nobody knows what happened and how and individual felt in that situation. What the heck was Michael Brown thinking? you attack a police officer and try to take his gun, what the heck do you think its going to happen? why didnt he just cooperate. A few words with the police doesnt mean they are attacking or picking on you. Think how you would have felt/acted if someone wants to take your gun to shoot you. Time goes fast in those situations and its not like you can take hours to make rational decisions.

Witness 10 is probably the most credible eyewitness to the shooting. He has no apparent reason for lying nor do I see how he could lie while at the same time have a version of events that is the same as Wilson's. That he saw it happen and it happened as both he and Wilson claim seems to me to be the logical explanation.
Witness 10 describes the struggle at the police car, Wilson chasing Brown, Brown sticking his hand to his waistband, and charging forward towards Wilson. Wilson opens fire at this point. Brown keeps charging and Wilson keeps firing until he finally goes to the ground. Same thing that Wilson says happened. He also says that he is sure that Brown never put his hands up or try to surrender.
When asked for his opinion of the incident he replied:
Initially, um, I thought wow um, did he have to use that force on him. Um, could he have take and retrieved his taser, um, and tased the young guy? He was...I felt like he was unarmed and my initial thoughts was that. And, after thinking about it and reviewing everything and putting myself in the police officer’s shoes, I feel like he handled the situation correct force wise. The gunshot led from the car, the confrontation led from the car. He came out with his weapon drawn, um, trying to pursue the suspect then um, at one point the suspect turns and if he, I felt if he was really trying to give himself up, um, the police officer already has his gun drawn. If you’re really trying to give yourself up, you’re gonna lay down on the ground and you’re gonna let it be known um, but that he didn't do that and he charged at him and at that time I feel like the police officer he didn’t have time to really react and holster his weapon and re-holster with a taser.
This is his police interview from August 11: www.documentcloud.org/documents/1370946-interview-witness-10.html
Witness 10 testified in front of the grand jury on Sept 23. His story didn't change from what I can tell. Starts at page 149: www.documentcloud.org/documents/1370908-grand-jury-volume-6.html

There is no law that says you shouldn't feel remorse when you take someone's life "legally", even in a difficult situation like this. If you killed someone, whether or not they did right or wrong, you still took their life, and you have yours. Please, why can't you say that you're sorry? Broken hearts are not mended by a clean conscience, but by love, and right now that's what we need the most.

And what i understand from this interview the cop seems to recall every detail from that moment and seems to have had plenty of time to act and think. even taking a pause from the shooting to judge the situation, and after pausing to think keeps firing bullets at the still charging man.... That's just lies man. The kid must have been charging at snail speed or charging from at least 60 feet. And for him to keep charging at him after being hit MUTLIPLE times just does not add up. And then there is the way this guy is telling the story. He shows no emotion, he just stairs blankly in front of him and drones on like a robot. it has got to be the worst acting i have ever seen. He looks like a teenage kid trying to lie his way out of some mess he has gotten him self into.

I find common themes, shoot for the legs, no you don't because then you miss and hit people or objects behind a threat, and you don't stop the threat.
Hands up don't shoot, Bogus. had he not assaulted the officer or had he not threatened to assault the officer again maybe you'd have a case, a civil case, but the evidence points to the state of mind of Brown on video 5 minutes earlier in the C-store, and the eye witnesses who were recorded on cell phone video shortly after the encounter, the same witnesses who were not on camera or had a vested interest in coming up with some story for Lawyer Crump who is a travesty of American law representation.
All this leads to people burning our flag.
Burning our community businesses.
Perpetuating more violence.

Seems pretty obvious that the cop here was within standard procedure, and considering the amount of ressources allocated by the US administration to investigate no stone was left unturned.
Now, in many other countries the same procedures would not even exist - so the ferguson protesters should either focus on the current legislation authorizing cops to shoot when their life is threatened (here by hand in pocket potentially reaching for a gun [?]) or let it go ( as it would be very hard to hire cops in the violent USA). But IN NO CASE should the protestors keep focusing on a single cop - it makes them look stupid, almost as much as looting the few stores who dared open in a "bad" neighborhood and provide the few jobs that give more opportunity to change things for the better than any political speech, public hanging, or police defiance would.

• @bryburden222
@bryburden222 9 лет назад

I am just not trying to say that Brown is completely innocent, but this situation went from a simple altercation which I am sure millions of cops have gone through before to tragic death of a person when it really didn't need to happen that way. The taser would have definitely worked in the altercation between Wilson and Brown. Cops have used tasers to get suspects off of other cops before. If Wilson was able to unholster his gun and try to shoot Brown, he could have done the same with his taser. And the taser is likely to not have jammed the way Wilson claims the gun did. And the taser would have been amazing to use if Brown was rushing or running at Wilson the way he claims. Tasing a suspect has never failed to at least slow a person down, if not completely immobilize them.
I am sure Brown is no angel. But neither is Wilson. Something could and should have been done differently to prevent a death. No one is innocent in this situation. But did Brown deserve to die for his actions? Absolutely not. There are many (of all races) who have done so much worse who are either incarcerated or walking free. Brown did not deserve to die.
