    i sometimes look at others art and like.."WHY DOESN'T MY ART LOOK THAT GOOD?!" and then start a huge art block like 4-5 months and i just miss doing art in those times after seeing other people on social media doing art and also in those times i realize even though my art isn't that good i had fun developing my art and back to it again and after all that im just stuck in a loop but after seeing this there is no way ima starting another art block.

    my motivation is probably being able to see my characters and their stories “come to life” in a sense. I find comfort and happiness in being able to see what I and others can make of their stories and traits and hope to develop a webcomic/graphic novel!
    LOOOVE UR CONTENT BTW!!

      that's such a pure motivation! that's truly the heart of storyweaving and comics at its core imo, the journey we take with the characters and what we learn, how they grow upon us and what they mean to us, as both creators and readers. all the best to you in your publishing journey!!✨
      and thank youuuu!!! ;0;

    That is the first time i ever see you. I watched only two videos and I already feel good. I was kind of the person self-degrading my art ... And I just come to decision I just couldn't draw but you actually bringed me up alot. The way you talk and say things is just really relaxing! And art is my pation and you made me think i shouldn't let it go and continue to try. ❤

    Your digital painting process is so mesmerizing ( ★▿★ ) I don't know if I compare how my own art looks with other artists as much as I used to (because believe me back in 2012 I really wanted to quit drawing after I first discovered Naschi lol...) it's more common nowadays for me to see what I can learn from how other artists draw if they're doing something that really resonates with me -- on the other hand I've noticed fairly recently that if they're really well-versed on the technical aspects of their art (or other things such as writing stories or developing characters) then that makes me feel really inferior because I don't have that same kind of technical knowledge they do that really pulls their creations together, behind the front-end presentation of it being a really fantastic end product, and I tend to feel overwhelmed because my own work feels shallow in comparison and I want to acquire that same kind of knowledge but don't know where to begin looking. And jealousy/bitter envy... that's definitely something that hits too close to home for me... especially in situations where there's artists who are getting more views/likes/shares/etc. in a few hours than I could over the span of several weeks, or if they've been able to make a career for themselves at my age or younger... it was reeeaaally bad years ago and I felt like I overcame those feelings about ~5 years ago but now they're starting to come back (thankfully not nearly with the same intensity) and I feel disappointed in myself because of that ;w; and your challenge asking who people think they are to define another artist's worth is definitely very convicting... examining my own motives for why I create art, I've always wanted to write and create stories and for as long as I can remember I've been fascinated with animation, reading books and comics of all kinds, drawing my own books with markers... as a kid I really wanted to be an actress so I typed up a lot of stories with hopes of achieving my fantasies of becoming published, getting a movie adaptation and playing the main character for my maiden voyage into my acting career lol. At this point I almost exclusively wrote prose fiction but once I really hit my anime phase I realized that the stories I wanted to make would look better in a comic so I started teaching myself how to draw so I could create my own manga and that's more or less the path I've been on ever since...

      thank you so so much elle ✨TT^TT💕 i'm really happy to hear you already try to have a good perspective of others' art and what can be learned from it! i definitely understand that feeling; like i've been drawing digitally for well over a decade (approaching two decades honestly PFFFLIKEWHAT) but still feel like a beginner a lot of the time. we can't fault ourselves too much for just not knowing certain things, there's plenty of time to learn! it's ok, there's no reason to be ashamed!! literally i think every artist can relate to some degree.. ;v; but i'm really glad some of the things i mentioned were helpful to you!! and yeah it's good to have a clear direction and understanding of the motive that brought you to this point and it sounds like you have a really good idea of what that is for you!✨
