    Although it is probably a major pain in the ass for you to put an entire build into one session, I did find this new format very enjoyable, oh and the build looks awesome. Nice work as always!!

      Thank you, Stacy! I'm glad you enjoyed the build and the new format. It really wasn't too bad making the video. Mainly, it was just a different workflow, but it was a nice change of pace, so I had fun with it. Going forward, I do plan on doing more of these types of builds, as well as my typical episodic projects. Lots more videos coming! I'm going to try for a "One and Done" build every few months, but we'll see how life goes. Thanks for watching and I'll see you on the next one!

      Hey, Ian! It has been a while, I hope all is well. I really appreciate you stopping by and watching some videos. This was a great little build, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. Plus, it was a great mojo booster, for sure. Feel free to drop in, whenever you feel like it and I'll see you on the next one! Take care, buddy.

    I really enjoyed this new format, Ben.....it was so good watching a build from start to finish in one episode. It's amazing how you manage all your different series and keep that mojo going (not that I'm complaining). Great job on that MiG, those extra scratch built details, painting and weathering all coming together creating a terrific final reveal. Trumpeter kits can be troublesome at times but this one seemed to come together without too many issues. I'll look forward to see what next you'll have for us some time in the future One and Done builds.

      Thank you so much Robbo! I really had fun with this build. it was super simple and it was already very nicely detailed. All I had to do was spruce it up a tiny bit, add some wires, and give it some paint. I was also surprised because as you said, Trumpeter kits can be a bit of trouble. This was a nice change of pace.
      I am so glad you enjoyed the new series! I fully intend on doing more of these, in fact I am already working on what kit I might want to build for episode two! Any suggestions?

    • @robbo1068
      @robbo1068 Год назад

      @@BenBuilds Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a lot of your builds have focussed on allied aircraft so as a suggestion maybe some other axis subjects (such as the Italian CR42 or Aichi Val) or inter-war subjects (such as the Boeing P12) or other countries (such as the Polish PZL11).....just a thought.

    Awesome build Ben, can not wait to see what you do for the next one. Honestly for me either way is good, the one and done or the weekly shows! 👍😎

      Thank you, Richard! I'm so glad you enjoyed the build. I thought it might be nice to offer another format, for those who don't want to wait a number of weeks for a completed build. I'll still be doing both formats, but this gives my subs some variation. I really appreciate you watching, buddy. Take care and I'll see you on the next one!

      Thanks, David! It was a great little build, went together really well. I could have gone even further with the cockpit and all of that, but out of the box, the details are actually really nice. I want to build the late version at some point. Thanks for watching!

    Great build Ben and loved the cockpit detail. I gotta say I really enjoy watching a build from start to finish in one video although I suppose ithe more technical and detailed a kit the longer the video

    • @BenBuilds
      @BenBuilds  Год назад

      Thank you! The cockpit was a fun challenge. Luckily, the kit has some nice detail, so I just had to enhance it rather than anything else.
      I am going to try to do more of these types of builds. Hopefully, I can work out a good system so I can do a nice mix of content for everybody. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and I'll see you on the next one!

    That came out super (the dot filters! ) Can say the wing panel coloring is visible on screen. Also thought it was a neat variation on your normal builds. T

      Glad you liked it, Joe! You know how I've been talking about building a MiG-3? Well I finally did it! Actually, this was a really fun build, short and sweet, without too many issues or problems. Mojo Restored! Now, it's time to concentrate on that P-38 and the Zero! Thank you for watching, buddy!

    Awesome build, except one flaw: Soviet planes didn't have stars on the upper wing surfaces, just on the lower ones. Stars have returned to the upper wing surfaces in late 1946, after the war.

    • @BenBuilds
      @BenBuilds  Год назад +1

      Hey, thanks for watching, buddy! See, that's what I thought too, but my references kept telling me that this was an early war MiG and that it had stars in all 6 positions. However, the only image that I could find didn't show the tops of the wings, so it was a gamble either way. I just decided to follow what I was reading, but when I build the Mig-3 Late version, it will definitely be lacking the top wing stars. Regardless, this was a fantastic little kit and so much fun to build. I can't wait to get another one and tryout some of the more outlandish camouflaged patterns. One of my favorite WWII fighters, for sure!
