These players are most certainly not up and coming. They are established players that are just a tier below the top pro players.

Secondly, maybe not these two in particular but there are a number of established players who *are* up and coming such as Rogue coming back from surface and beginning to rise up again

Mostly? Entirely, Think winter's cast like.. one singular SC1 game ever and it was of Artosis just to give a window into SC1 (Excluding SC Evo, perhaps if Flash tries his hand at that though)

The fact that Zerg can do so much without a single caster (unless you count queen as a caster) is very telling.
Nah, it's not caster problem. Elazer refused to build lurkers or broodlords which would allow him to steamroll stats.

I actually have been feeling that immortals feel kind of overtuned but it's mainly because every other protoss ground unit is too weak. So immortals being actually good feels like a big difference compared to gateway units or the fragile colossi
Yeah it feels like the only unit that wins 1v1 with another unit.
@@Wwillswords depends on the unit, they lose to lings or hydras, can't shoot up (but zerg is weak at that), it's dedicated anti armour
Protoss has those power units in general, something that works good and everything else is just filler

Immortals have issues too, they're just dedicated tanky anti armour - but lose to like.. 4 lings, 6 at most

Elazer is still really good, like Harstem level top 20 in EU for sure... idk why he didnt go lurker though
They really ought to expand the stuff you can do with SC2 races. Sorta like making a "SC2.5" which is just entirely set as a PVP game for competition and leagues.
Basically you keep the major values of SC2 but with updates and expansions to the units and maps.
-> Shotgun marines, deadly at short range.
-> Heavy marines. slower but harder to kill units unless countered by equal or stronger units. Like the zerg could have bug swarms, very weak but can only be countered by fire weapons, smoke and toxic gasses. The bug swarms are like flies that do minimal damage over time but can seriously force units away if they aren't protected by fire or gas weaponry.
And are very effective when combined with zergling rushes.
-> Heavy Hydralisks and more new units.
-> No more unit/ swarm clipping at all. + more or less realistic scales for the models.
Maybe even change it so that some units cannot damage other units/ structures.
Like zerglings or zealots would have a hard time breaking down a fortified command center.
Marines would have a hard time killing a zerg hive or taking down a powerful protoss shield.
Stuff like that. aha.

Seeing Stats try a cheese was one of the saddest things I have ever seen, it clearly does not suit his style.
The Reason it feels so awkward to pluralize the word stasis, is because stasis is already a plural verb . whereas a stasis trap is a singular noun. It will always feel unnatural to pluralize an already plural verb. If it helps further, the correct pronunciation would be sounds much more like Stay-Seas.

I know Diamond league does NOT matter but having 6 or 7 immorals against Zerg has worked for ages. The odds of them failing to pivot from roaches in time is so low I tend to win with only a few Zealots and Sentrys supporting.
Diamond definitely.. well, NA Diamond does not matter, NA has the lowest group averages of all 3 regions, but high Diamond EU or low Diamond Korea definitely matter
Would definitely assume the latter have enough lings with their army to not just walk across and win after the first engagement

Celestials won't be fun to say. BOBs won't be fun to say. Therium won't be fun to say. Meanwhile in the two weeks the other RTS was available people had just shortened resource talk to 'trade red for blue'.
Thanks for showing these players. I understand saying that conflicts with my mext statement, but it's nice to see fresh players to gain more perspective and new insight.
That said, these guys are miles away from the top 10 sc2 players. So many shots of units just sitting around, their macro is slow and their ability to fight seems weaker than the big name players. There is just such a giant gap between skill levels in sc2. I guess that's what happens to a 15 year old game. Not a lot of fresh blood coming into the scene. Allows top players to dominate for longer periods of time.
There was a series between Stats and Dark some time ago on this channel, which Stats took and looked very well in.
I think he just needs to work a bit more on consistency imo.

Obviously these guys are WAY better players than me but why in game 5 when Stats went mass immortal did Elazer continue to build roach/ravager? I feel like just mass mass zergling could be a better counter? roachs are paperweight when immortals are around!
Two reasons are tunnel vision and upgrades. This is the build he set out to do, so he was doing it. He had already upgraded down the roach ravager path and needed it would take over a minute and heavy investment to match in the ling bane side
He was trying to morph as many roaches into raveges as possible. Raveger-ling was his best shot at defending the push, only after that he could try to tech up.
