Funny you should mention lactose intolerance, I am, and for about a 6 month period my level of ladder was about 75% cheese. I changed my handle to Lactase, and started blind countering cheese every match. I rose about an entire league tier, getting called a maphacker all the way up. Just thought I'd share.

My fav aspect of SC2 is just all the variety of strategies. Incorporating SC1 units would expand it even more. Just fantastic.

Are carriers actually worth it? They seem so vulnerable and easy to counter. For such an expensive unit. What does everyone think?

In game 2, I feel like if Lancer didn't go for the carriers or just went for tempests, he would have had a better late game, or possibly could have won. The game took a turn for the worse for Lancer as soon as the carriers came out. But what do I know, I'm a bronze league hero. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on that
I also think so, but carriers have a magic number, like around 12~16, while being fully apgraded, they start to obliterate all they see, as we saw in game 3. So i think you should bild other units, boosting upgrades and get 6 stargats and many resourses in bank, than get close big fight, and then quickly swap into golden armada with 12 carriers in 3 min with boosts. So then you ll win
Carriers are the best late game unit when you hit critical mass especially with a mothership. HOWEVER, mass Marines beat them, mass Hydra can even beat them. Cuz they kill all the interceptors

awesome game! this was an edge of your seat watching every move type of cast. Also love Winters humor tossed here and there. Such as the paper mothership and how the mothership that sat in a corner was the most value he's ever seen.
Had to wait for a nice number of likes to sub. I have never played a single online game of SC2 but enjoy the commentary I'm learning through osmosis instead of actually playing

That second game did not go the way i thought it would at all.
It looked to me like scarlet thought she rushed tech too greedily the first time so delayed it the second. Then to have her hive and hydra den taken down in what Winter implied was an accidental boon.
The teir 2 tech switch seeming so random only for the corruptors to catalyze the lurker defensive force into a dominating map presence.
Quite a second game.

It seems to me the plan they originally had didn't seem to work out lol in starcraft 1 i hated the protoss missions cuz they're so tanky but playing through StarCraft 2 i remember thinking the opposite lol what even is the point of having shields if creatures on the ground can break it lol not only is hitting the magical space ship a feat on Its own they destroy it lol I'm definitely convinced they really are made of paper lol

Man, people always complains about zerg and for years the updates are nerfs and nothing fun.. seems the meta is cucking the zerg of a base always and you are kinda screwed, nothing flies on the early game so you are more or less stuck always with the same path and ppl wised onto it and have perfected the bs. People complains about queens but you can barely defend with all the options and angles the other races have. and more importantly all these angles make other races fun but not zerg, late game is not that fun, it basically is a micro spell fest to try to respond to simple army compositions honestly people seems to been punished for picking zerg

Yeah, it definitely wasn't their best games. Lots of sloppiness. Lancer did do a good job in game 2 with all the worker harass but still sloppy. However, it was definitely still very entertaining!

@@rumar4u I think his point was that they didn't play poorly they just played worse than they as pros would normally play but you saying they played poorly is both incorrect (they are still pros) and weird because you are almost certainly worse than them. Also they are calling you bad so your analysis is less important not invalid or that you shouldn't or can't make it. Also you are strawmaning them about the fact they said you can't make a observation about how they played just it is less important also you're criticism is not necessarily objective.
