the more strained and aggressive vocals and slightly faster bpm on this version i like better than the actual release. heard this track for the first time yesterday and ended up making my own remix because i liked it so much. posted a few hours ago. check it out :) super dope band
Youpidou - Someone most certainly is playing a lead part off stage. I saw this tour and remember thinking that at the time of the show too. Seems very un-Ramones like to have done that, but I still love 'em!
They were on fire in this period and playing great. I know Pleasant Dreams isn't highly regarded in the catalogue but I think there are some brilliant songs on it, maybe even the album Spector should have made? Bold statement, I know, but nowhere near as bold as Marky's hair, which continues to look fuller and thicker as he gets older. I wonder what his secret is?
Ricardo Stoco It's possible. It's not like Walter Lure would have been too busy to make a television show appearance. He would have gotten paid for it too.
@@rackaid14 Johnny was not able to play this, this was even stated by Richie Ramone. He was lazy. I love Johnny but any begginer guitarist plays better than him (not downstrokes, obviously)
This was totally live and they were great!!!!!

I remember watching this. Awesome live preformance.
Johnny couldn't play the more complicated guitar riffs, so Daniel Rey or others played them. That is why this song was rarely played in public
Barbara Jenkins Yes, Barbara. apparently in the 80s, they got Walter Lure from the Heartbreakers to play those guitar solos.
@@danielscissorhands Walter did play solos for the Ramones but on the studio. They made a killer 'Street Fightin Man' cover!
wow i didn't know Johnny was that bad. His downstrokes are legendary at least
I didn't know that, but he is playing it here or is some guitarist behind the curtain playing the riff?
@John T thanks for the info, I trust you

I fucking love this awesome performance
Viva a revolução viva os Ramones ✊.
It sounds like somebody behind the scenes plays lead guitar parts along Johnny's downstrokes. :)
100% someone else doing the leads hiding in the shadows somewhere. Haha
@@krisparks1 that’s their roadie little matt. he would stand on the side of the stage and play lead occasionally
Its probably Walter Lure from Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. I believe he did the lead guitar on the album version.
love this song

Uno de los mejores riffs del rock mundial!

LOL re Marky's wig.. I mean hair. I have to disagree with you re Pleasant Dreams though, not a great album overall in my humble opinion.
Joey&Marky have the same t shirt 🤣
Almost the exact same, yeah
Wow, Ramones' songs like this one do sound better live with lead guitar
A roadie did the leads on this one.
Thanks Ricardo, you already answered the question I was about to post on here. Any idea which roadie, maybe Big or Little Matt?
Ricardo Stoco No, it wasn't a roadie. It was Walter Lure from the Heartbreakers.
danielscissorhands On this live performance? Dont think so.
Ricardo Stoco It's possible. It's not like Walter Lure would have been too busy to make a television show appearance. He would have gotten paid for it too.

Gustavo S No. It's Walter Lure.
In the studio yes, Walter. But when played live it was Matt
Gustavo S How do you know? I think they only played it live on the Tomorrow Show.
There's a 2nd guitar during the instrumental section. Who is playing it???
Probably Walter Lure from the Heartbreakers
Why did they stop playing this song? Anyone
+musefan117 Probably because Johnny didn't play lead guitar on it.
+danielscissorhands couldnt he learn this??? shit
thomfvc Probably not. LOL

Who's playing the 2nd guitar line? A roadie?
From what I've read it was either Walter Lure, Graham Gouldman, Ed Stasium, Matt Loyola or Daniel Rey.
