I remember this being one of my favs from perfect red, the transitions and groove are so crisp. The way you craft your basslines and kick drive the melodies so well for LSDJ it's fantastic

I'm now thinking it might be a reference to the specific polyphony of the lead in the Falco song, but I honestly have no clue and I'm interested now as well.

That's so GOOD !!!! But ,Unfortunately, i can't play any Touhou game (ToT)
Perfect Cherry Blossom is the fairest and Imperishable Night the easiest, and there's no shame in playing either on Normal (or even on Easy until you get the hang of streaming, although you can't get the good endings on Easy.) It's worth trying until you can get there, if the frustration isn't too much; they're very rewarding when you break through the skill barriers. The days in early college where I ended up spending several hours struggling to break Rin in Subterranean Animism's fifth and sixth stages were a good pain.
Yep i will try if i can find them TwT (because i searched everywhere on youtube but nobody says where to GET the games,so i still can't start to play Touhou IN on PC) I also LOVE Touhou OST, I literally listened to Touhou 6,7,8,9,and 12 entire soundtracks so far. (Infact, this is the main reason for me to play Touhou games)

Mountain of Faith onward are available on Steam these days. Moriya Shrine stopped linking downloads to the ones we can get via digital distribution, but may still be where you can find the earlier titles. Google probably won't like me linking it, but you'll find it if you look.

I've just started really fiddling with LSDJ, and it's wild how so much of this I can identify the process for while other things have me totally in the dark. How is (I'm guessing) the wave channel performing those wild swoops and white noise?
The dance of the main melody is v fun to watch, but watching blue going wild in the background is mystifying
this honestly makes me wish for a rendition of "dracula's castle" from Symphony of the Night in the same style
