  • For the third year in a row, Cold Dark North, Steezy Collective and Zero Lemon team up to host a thing, that isn't a thing. This year we organised a 2 day off road ride in the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales.

12:27 had a catastrophic wheel failure going down that descent after hitting a big hole, broke a rim and delaminated my Gravelking. Spent the next 5 hours or so walking back over Salter in driving wind & rain. Probably my most miserable day on a bike ever, great fun!

Great route that. My neck of the woods. The double bridge at East Marten is there because the road above was graded to make the hill above less steep. As for the forest of Bowland, it was called a forest to denote a hunting area. It always confused me as a kid so I did a bit of research a few years ago. The cycling club I'm in is called Pendle Forest after the area that we live in which also isn't a forest!!

I live in barnoldswick Chris, we have some great ride routes round here, and need to get exploring more, the Salter to Slaidburn leg, looked a great section, just catching up on a few of your videos tonight, wasn’t aware you’d been through, would have come out to see you if I’d known, been watching you from the 107 days, keep up the good work 👍🏻

Fabulous route. Nice film. Bowland is a real hidden gem, and The Dales are, well, The Dales. From Leeds so this is local-ish. Will follow some of your links and hope to get involved maybe next time.

@@ChrisHallRides That would be great. Sorry - how often do you do them and where do they get announced? Is there a sign up etc? All "up north?".

Beautiful route! Nice to see nobody seems to be in a hurry to concrete all those "roads" In asia progress is measured in concrete and all the dirt near me is gone...it's a real case of enjoy it while you can! BTW those fat dirt bikes are called ADB, kind of a landrover version of a trail bike
