I'm from the US, and I've tried bibimbap for the first time a few days ago, it was so good! Mark inspired me to go around locally trying different foods. My family and I have been going to different restaurants once a month. Trying new foods, exploring different flavors. I'm happy that a city near me has different ethnic restaurants. 😋
Ah man just discovered this channel! I'm in Andorra currently and I haven't discovered the local food yet! That's bad. I make videos whilst traveling the world but don't do any local food reviews! He's doing this so right! Much to learn
This place is on my bucket list! Looks so delicious. The dish is called either dak-dori-tang or dak-bokkeum-tang...one of my most favourite Korean dishes!!!
I almost forgot how tasty the korean 'traditional' chicken dishes are! Thanks for reminding me of it. I already know that those chicken & sauces are absolutely gorgeous, and it's torturing me now 😱😱

Mark you know how to enjoy food! The statement you’re making when you eat at the same time makes even more interesting. You are the best food you tuber!!
@@simon8610 What's odd is that Mark and Sonny both started their RUclips channels at the same time, and have the same amount of subscribers (10M); and yet Mark only has a net worth of $5M while Sonny's net worth is over $10M. Mark does all his editing, while Sonny pays a whole team of people to deal with it.

Happy to have you back visiting korea! I actually had the same bibimbap there about a one and a half year ago. It was really good and beautiful around How cool would it be if you met with mr. Baek!
Wow....of all places! Few years back when I worked as sales/forwarding co. (in the Netherlands), I once visited on of our clients who traded in wooden chips...and they shipped their products to countries like Korea....now I know where and how it is applied...😃👍🏻...
The food looked cooed with understanding of the food of there country .everyone haven’t there own style and ways of cooking, you do give the impression to everyone it’s how you feel about the cuisine.
I've never seen these types of fire-cooked chicken before. Of course bibimbap is well-known but I had no idea there was a famous restaurant serving it. For most Koreans, bibimbap I think is a fairly simple, flexible dish -- just rice and a bunch of veg, some meat and an egg on top, plus gochujung, sesame oil, some seaweed paper on top.. It's an ideal church lunch dish -- one family brings the rice or makes it at the church kitchen, then other families bring one ingredient and then everything is cooked and then assembled at the church kitchen. As a Korean who's lived mostly in the West, I'm actually tickled that Korean food has gotten so popular. To me, Korean food is just comfort food. It's not as exotic as southeast Asian cuisine, but it's the kind of food that's so comforting.
My mouth is drooling. Especially the second one. Never have ever seen or heard before. But I love 육회 (raw beef) so much too. BTW, tteokbokki (떡볶이) is name of rice cake dish in spicy sauce. The rice cake is called just tteok (떡). bokki (볶이) means literally "stir-fried"
Thanks Mark; man I would love to go back Korea & experience those places. 18:45 is THEE BEST food face he has EVER done. Also the final food face 😂😂. I look for those, it let😢me know the level of how good or not the food is.

He may be slim and look healthy but he doesn't eat a healthy diet. All that fat and sugar and carbs he eats are the worst thing to eat. His arteries are probably getting clogged, his cholesterol will be high and he will probably get diabetes too, so he may look healthy but is more than likely a ticking time bomb ready to go off.
Man that lava dish i absolutely love the sounds of burning crackling wood and liquids bubbling 😂 especially inlike slow motion!! the dish truly lives up to its name. May Jesus Christ Bless You and your family Mark!

The chicken dish featured here pairs so well with rice. In Korea, many of these dishes are nicknamed, “rice thief,” because of perfect harmony of tastes and texture in your mouth.
Networks need to consider giving Mark Wiens a TV series…..he’s right up there with Anthony Bourdain. Totally relatable, easy going yet professional, & nothing pretentious whatsoever. He makes his audience want to go seek edgy food adventures to the far reaches on earth to set their mouths on fire with something totally new by experiencing signature dishes prepared by wonderful local legends.
