    Introducing:
    Live Booleans with Voxels Introduced! It includes Add, Subtract and Intersect modes, even with complex child objects, and the performance is surprisingly good.
    Vector Displacement Brush support was added via a small library of VDM Brushes, provided in various VDM Brush subfolders within the “Alphas” panel. VDM EXR files can be imported into the “Alphas” panel the same way standard greyscale brushes are.
    Vector Displacement Creation tool, named “Pick & Paste,” was added to allow artists a quick and super convenient way to extract the shape of almost any surface of an existing object in the scene. You don’t have to go through the tedious process of making a plane, then sculpting the desired object from scratch, like in other applications. You can simply use the Pick & Paste tool to make VDM brushes from whatever models you have.
    Layers Masks + Clipping Masks have been implemented similar to and compatible with Photoshop’s. It even works with Vertex Paint, VerTexture (Factures), and Voxel Paint!
    Ongoing & Incremental UI Improvements continue with various efforts to improve the visual appearance (with better Font readability, spacing, and customization), plus helpful new features added to the UI.
    Python projects with multiple modules supported
    The Addons system introduced to connect Python/C++ scripts developers and users. It allows easy sharing of the scripts, providing instructions, and finding information. Some useful addons included, for example, the realistic destruction with random cracks - "Break mesh with cracks" addon.
    Blender 4 support improved via updated AppLink.
    AI Assistant (3DCoat's specialized Chat GPT) was introduced, and the UI color scheme toggle was placed into the start menu.
    UV management over Python/C++ substantially improved.
    The View Gizmo introduced. It can be turned off in settings.
    Retopo/Modeling Room: the Cap tool is modified. More patterns added.
    Python API for the camera management, Top/Left/Front ... views tweaked to move camera gradually, not instantly.
    Modeling Room: Some simplifications of the Smart Extrude tool.
    For the “Surface Revolution” tool, the ability to select the X/Y/Z axes as the axis of rotation has been added.
    Long-awaited Scene Scale Master tool implemented for more accurate Scene Scale fidelity between applications upon Import or Export.
    A new "Edge Flow“ tool in the Modeling Room allows users to add adjustable levels of curvature (to a selected Edge-loop) between surrounding geometry.

    Very happy to see how thoroughly the VDM tools have improved, and the layer masking features. I've noticed in some recent versions though that it won't bake normal maps as displacement when using the "take subdivided paint mesh into sculpt room" features anymore, did something break with that? It was rare I had to use it to rebake normals on a sculpt but it was quite useful as a shortcut instead of mashing two normal maps together.

    Some very impressive improvements and new tools. The live booleans, rounded corner cut-offs, and the EdgeFlow tool with beautiful pre-visualizer are stand-outs.
    Most of all, I appreciate the UI enhancements! They are welcome changes and were needed. The viewport Gizmo alone is a small but tremendous help in navigating the 3D space. I hope the Dev Team will continue streamlining the UI in future updates. Most important is a general approach to UI clean up that replaces text in the interface with icons. I feel I have to "read" too much when I'm in 3DCoat.
    Thank you for the big and important update. Your hard work is appreciated!

      Oof. I hate icons. Please don't do this, 3DCoat. I wish you would remove all the icons and replace them with text.

      You can toggle Icon/Text display variations by clicking the "T" icon just above the Tool Panel. If you prefer only text, that option is there. If you like icons only, it's there. There are options for both Icons & Text, also.

      @@PILGWAY3DCoat Thanks for the reply! I should have been specific and said less text in the top menu. The ability to remove text and resize icons in the tool panel is awesome - and I appreciate the new feature that allows users to tint the icon colors. But my request is for a cleaner, more graphic/icon approach to the top menu. Less reading.
      Also, I love the Paint room spacebar brush pop-up! It's small, comfortable and allows quick cursor movement to choose brush/colors.
      In the sculpt room, it could be great if users could quickly launch a SMALL pop-up UI for their most used preferred brushes instead of the giant menu with all the brushes and favs all the way at the top. Requests for pie menus and UI improvements in the 3DC forum seem to fall on deaf ears. But this latest release is quite impressive. I hope it garners more attention from potential users.

    I just couldn't figure out a workflow in this program for the life of me. It would constantly break because I didn't select something or I forgot something on or off somewhere so I abandonned it. Maybe 2024 version has changed I might give it another shot.

    🔵дуже добре що ви зробили попередні прев'ю для більшості функцій - тобто заздалегідь буде видно як буде змінена поверхня при заданому параметрі і чи потрібно його змінювати. Майбутній результат видно ще до натискання кнопки Apply - наприклад як на 3:36 4:09 4:54 - це дуже зручно!
    Будь-ласка зробіть таке саме прев'ю для параметрів контуру виділення 3:29 для: Edge Radius, Border Width, Depth limit - хай під час регулювання з'являється якісь дефолтний контур (наприклад прямокутник або ромб) на якому би наочно відображались величина зкруглення і тд - а ще краще щоб можна було спочатку намалювати а потім в реалтаймі відрегулювати ці параметри контуру (натискаючи праву кнопку мишки і не відпускаючі ліву відкривати контестне меню)
    Бо постійно доводиться вгадувати ці параметри і в основному це вдається з декількох спроб😅, а прев'ю дозволяло б це робити з першої спроби
    🟣 І ще добре було би додати до Align Vertices 3:41 функцію яка робила би сегменти круга однакової довжини (так як це працює у скрипті Regularize для 3dsMax "") - тоді з цього круга можна буде екструдувати правильний циліндр

    please add the option to isolate the object in sculpture mode. The current system, which is located in the geometry tab, is inconvenient and does not give the expected results. But when you click on the eye icon with the ALT key in the outliner, you get the desired result, but for this you always need to reach with the stylus to the other end of the monitor. Please add the option to add this action to the hotkey.

      as I wrote above, these functions work with unpredictable results. The program needs an analog of the isolate function like Zbrush. And this functionality is already there, but it works only if you click on the icon of the eye with the ALT key. It's inconvenient.@@LeonidDeburger

      Well, I was finally able to figure it out. It might be cool to record a splint if there isn't one. It turns out that if you hover the mouse cursor over any object and click isolate, then it is isolated and with it the entire hierarchy. If you click isolate in an empty place, the selected object turns on transparency mode. It turns out that this functionality is much cooler than in Zbrush, but damn it, I suffered for six months, not knowing how it works 😀

    I really like 3d coat and I tried for a little while but I am so used to zbrush that I couldn't adjust myself to 3D coat even when I know that 3d coat is much versatile and they keep improving with each version they release while zbrush is always the same things with just some walks arounds to make them look like brand new features.

    Does it have quad mesh polygon al sculpting like zbrush? Or is it still triangular voxels?

      Not currently, but it is on the "To Do" List. However, in the meantime, if you have a quad poly base mesh, when you first import it into the Sculpt workspace, it will still have the same topology (polygonal flow), although each quad will be split into 2 triangles. This will allow you to have much of the same effect as sculpting with quads. Just below the SculptTree panel is the new Multi-Resolution panel. In it, you can add higher (or lower) SubD levels and it will keep this polygonal flow.

    Now just add a procedural node system like Houdini SOP network only for procedural modeling & instancing purposes & it will become an allrounder package which can handle the entire 3D pipeline
    Poly tools are making a huge stride, hopefully you guys can add some modifiers like 3DS Max & Blender as well so things can be handled in a non destructive manner,
    Sculpting was always there just behind the Zbrush, but with more tools making it a complete package.
    Retopo & UV tools are best in the market without a doubt.
    Already has a Photogrammetry room, hopefully it will make a stride in the future as well, though I don't use it much so can't say anything more about it.
    But as a modeling enthusiast, it feels good to see only Pilgway giving it more attention & trying to be a specialized & best package in this regard. Hopefully it continues in the future.

      ​ @AndrewShpagin1975 already tried it, 3dcoat hangs and have to end task to close it. a slider for font size will help or an input field to enter numerical value.
      Edit : it works after leaving it in hanged state for a while. thank you for help, can see things better now.

      @@AndrewShpagin_Integral Its working now with all available fonts but it takes very long to switch to those fonts when first time applying any new font. once its done than it works smoothly.

      3d Coat devs should make VSync enabled the default setting the program is shipped with to not scare users away. Just go to preferences and turn on VSync.

      В мене є одна ідея на рахунок однієї фічі.Такого немає в жодній програмі для скульптингу.Може би ви її реалізували? Ідея ось у чому полягає:
      - Є створений масив об'єктів чи завантажений.Вибираєте спеціальну кість(не пам'ятаю як це на укр.мові) і цим масивом об'єктів малюєте на якомусь основному об'єкті.Щось на зразок модифікатора Greeble для Макса.Це дало би змогу просто і легко створювати різні моделі, наприклад - космічні кораблі, хаотичні об'єкти на чомусь.
      Ну, я думаю, що сама суть зрозуміла.
      ...чи таке вже десь є?

      ​@@solarveterokв 3dcoat вроде есть такое. Существуют разные наборы объектов которые можно натыкать. Для космоса кажись была. Где-то в ютубе светилось это дело.

      Интересно.Надо как-то поискать.Вот ещё пример работы этой опции:
      - Есть загруженная модель дерева.Есть загруженный или созданный ландшафт или plane.Выбираем дерево, задаём параметры кисти и рисуем по поверхности.В итоге получаем лес с разными деревьями.Супер!
