Excellent video, I have a 2006 G22E factory, but it only goes backwards and I already checked all the current in the buttons, how can I change the rotation of the motor or the polarity, what I want is to be sure that the controller is failing, thank you.
If your motor passed the test and your switch checked out ok it's a good chance your controller is the problem. Let us know if we can help. You explain how to test a series motor. How do you test a regen motor? I have an 01 club car with the toggle switch for F/R out side the ingine compartment. Motor has a1 a2 f1 f2.
I tested mine in my 02 EZ but seems to stick and not fire off as quickly as I thought. If I turn the wheels to help it, it will work . I thought it was my controller but even testing the motor by itself gives me the same result. Sticking motor or ?
Hello, and thanks for the video. I recently got a 98 Club Car Caryall 2. 48v system. Installed new batteries and wires and it works! Just not very quick, and it struggles with hills. Does this sound like a motor issue or something else? Thanks in advance for any help.
Those are pretty slow from the factory. If you can check to see which controller you have it will tell us a lot. It's possible you may be able to upgrade it to help out in the speed? Of course feel free to call us anytime for help. 276.632.8905
Sounds like could be a combined motor/ controller issue. You need some torque. In most cases it's the controller that can get you the torque you need from? However they do make a torque motor but you will lose the top speed. Feel free to give us a call to go over what you have and a fix. 276.632.8905
I just got my golf cart back and they told me my motor was bad. My speed controller was bad. They said it was underneath water and I owned it since 1990 and it has never been underwater. How can I test to make sure everything still good?
I have a question. I have a 1990 ezgo marathon wound series. Lifted aprrox with adding front axle 6.25" and has monroe matic plus shocks front and rear. Whats the torque spec for the shock bolts? (needs bushings) Im the 3rd owner of it.
Sir i have a golf vehicle when i press pedal single time it can not move so i press pedal many time then it move and the smoothely run but the only problem is that its starting torque is very low i want to increase motor starting torque what you suggest please its humble request
I need to ask the question because I put all new batteries and put the new brain the new cylinoid. And I haven't checked the motor yet and what happened? To crowbar dropped while the seat was dropped up and blew up 4 of the 6 batteries on the 2000 years ago. And I thought that would be the problem. Man, I'm gonna do what you said and check the motor otherwise, what else could it be? Because my reverse and forward switch is on right underneath my cat. No, I'm not gonna when they're setting in it, and we'll be right there on the panel inside, download the back of your cap behind your feet but rebasically I appreciate if you'd let me know something. Thank you very much and appreciate your video and I'll check that today. Thank you very much for
is noisy because you cannot test electric motor like that the motor has to be bolted to the rear end because there's no bearing on the end that bolts to the motor so the noise you were hearing was the Armature rubbing on the case in because there's nothing to hold the front of it straight you do not test a motor like that on the bench with it not bolted to a rear end
Just got off the phone with Jason. He was very helpful, and knowledgable. Thanks, man.
Best damn video so far when it comes to troubleshooting the motors!
Awesome video. Thanks for posting.
Very informative, thanks again.
The dcs and pds motors are the same except for the speed sensor on a pds the are both separately excited motors

Loop A1 and F2 and put power to F1 and Ground to A2

Yeah, That kinda sounds like a motor brush issue?
How can you tell which motor yours is.

I have a 73445G01. Goes 14 mph but when going up small incline it nearly goes. Is that a motor problem or something else

Really don't need a torque setting just watch the rubber bushing until they slightly collapse, and then you'll be good.
how can you test fwd and reverse on the motor club ds series...no run tow switch
The "S" or "F' is for your F&R, So can put power to those to check.

Thanks from so. Fl.
Was it just me, or was that motor noisy?
They are loud out in the open, goes away once bolted to the rear on the bearings, input shaft.
