  • This video shows our breeding setup for our Celestial Pearl Danios / Galaxy Rasbora's.
UPDATE: I've now made major changes to how we collect eggs (automatically) and raise fry. See updated video here: • Easy CPD Breeding / E...

UPDATE: We don’t use this method anymore as the smaller growout tanks are too prone to ammonia spikes and also the fry and juveniles predate on each other. We now separate them into different larger growout tanks. See my other videos for some more details

I'm assuming you siphon out the fertilized eggs from the moss? And also same question as Oscar, what do you feed newly hatched fry?
    Great setup!

Hi There...sorry for delay. Yep, we use a turkey baster to get the eggs. Then we feed a mixture for golden pearl, first bites, live micro worms and live baby brine shrimp

Great video ! But I have a question, how long does it take for rasboras to grow to their adult size ?

it depends, but around 3-4 months typically.

What’s your trick for transferring the fry without harming them ?

i just let them grow a little (until they are big enough to eat the new fry or eggs) then net them and put them in another breeder box. Or you can use a turkey baster to collect the eggs and relocate them before they hatch. This video is an old one though and we don't breed this way anymore. Check out my other video on my channel on "Easy CPD Breeding / Egg Trap Game Changer" for my latest way to breed them. A lot less effort and better hatch rate
