    Egeria densa is an underrated plant, it grows so fast! I really like the look of it too, it almost looks like seaweed. You have really healthy CPDs as well. My local shop had some in but they all looked very sickly. I didn't have a tank for them anyway, but I'd like them someday. Thanks for the updates. Take care.

    Do you treat/quarantine your plants before you add them to the tank? I’m new to the hobby and about to order my first plants but I’m not sure about having snails or other things like that in my tank. Is it okay if there are snails/snail eggs on the plants? How would I get rid of them later if I don’t want them? How does it effect the tank cycling? Sorry for all the questions lol, just trying to replicate what your tanks look like!

    • @IMaqua
      @IMaqua  Год назад +3

      Thanks for watching. Snails are OK for me although some people don't like them. They help to cycle my tanks faster. I never treated my plants because I always buy from the same place and I don't mind snails. If you want to treat plants you can do it with potassium permanganate or bleach.

    • @IMaqua

    • @IMaqua
      @IMaqua  Год назад +1

      Dont worry about it. I have kept shrimps with Betta and they survive. Just introduce your shrimp colony first, feed them well and let them multiply for a few months. After that introduce fish. CPDs will go for smallest shrimps but adults are fine.
