I’m starting from this stage right now (4/23). And let me tell you I look at your videos alllll the time to encourage me. Oh yea I’m trying late in 50 with grey hair aka locs. Keep it going. #learningfrtheyoung
I just celebrated my one month last Wednesday and had my first wash and retwist Friday 🙌🏾!! It is definitely a process. My loctician says that oiling my scalp will help with the itching and that my scalp will go through some changes also. Thanks for sharing!!
You have a great attitude for starter loc stage. 👍😊 I'm about to start mine today using two strand twist. I also have really short soft hair, and thinner up top and in the temples. I'm hoping to have as great an attitude as you.😊 Thanks for sharing your journey
This is the motivation I really needed. Definitely have to trust the process because I’ve never started this short before but I’m loving the faith you have in your journey
At this point did you re twist from root to tip? I’m about to me a month and will be retwisting tonight but not sure if I should only do the root or the whole loc
So I have starter locs and i notice on by each ear unraveled and one at the back of my neck unraveled. Not happy about that but I'm assuming that's normal?
Yes mine did that also especially with my more soft textures around my perimeters. It took some time for them to stop unraveling but I don’t have that problem anymore !
Thanks! & I think that wearing it out more does help just to let my scalp breathe but if I’m laying down I’ll just keep it wrapped up just to preserve my retwist as long as possible. I have been consistent with oiling and massaging my scalp 3-4 times out the week before bed and also having my hair out when I shower because steam can help increase hair growth!
@@xclusivetina 😂 yeah I absolutely agree with you 💯 I was a little nerves until someone told me the loc extentions were real human hair and it's alright to knot it up with your real hair so I went for it
@@xclusivetina I’m surprised but, no! I’m sure I have some that unraveled on the nape of my neck but, the rest are still in tact! My head is so itchy tho, I’m thinking about taking them out.

I remember when my hair was in this stage. Also, a piece of advise: wrap them at night and hold the ACV until your six month
I’m pretty good at wrapping them up at night ! But i might hold off on the ACV. Thanks!

That’s exciting! Good luck on your journey 🌱
I support and love your style my beautiful sister from Virginia
Is there any way i can contact you in new to the loc journey and i want to know if my hair is long enough for a style
At this point did you re twist from root to tip? I’m about to me a month and will be retwisting tonight but not sure if I should only do the root or the whole loc
Yes, try your best to wrap any frizzy hairs that are out of place around your locs! For me i would twirl my loc around my finger to make it easier.
Congratulations 🎉🎊
Thank you! 😊

Congratulations! Yeah that’s a lot of progress in a month. Do you think wearing it out more vs keeping it covered contributed to the growth?

i can't wait until my 1 month loc journey 😂

@@xclusivetina Update: I went for permanent loc extentions 😂 The wait was too long
😂😂 the journey comes with having patience. But i feel you i put loc extensions in my 3 set of starter Locs before i big chopped.
