I love this story! Her true commitment to the LGBTQ community rewarded her with these great opportunities

As Elizabeth wrote the She Bar episode it would have been interesting to ask her what she thought about Jennifer going off script

So, it was EZ's responsible getting my fav band, HEART on the show, and using their song for maybe the most beautiful love scene ever. LH, preg...OMG, took by breath away, and the lyrics really fit. Even though it's not one of my fav Heart songs, because they did not write it...That was SUCH an AMAZING thing for me. This was before most stuff was leaked, I am watching this show, which I have always thought of as a lesbian soap. A show that in my younger years, NEVER thought would happen. I'm the one who sat on the sofa, crying when Ellen, on Ellen, came out. So this show blew my fucking mind. THEN, I am sitting there and I hear they are going to see Gloria Steinem speak and HEART preform. I 'bout lost my mind (not as much as Jenny...) At first, I was rocking, because it's HEART, then, tears flooded down my face. My coming out, the first time (my outing) was so bad, that I locked myself away for 7 years. I credit Heart for saving my life at 17...Hear they were, kicking ass on a lesbian show. I already knew they were VERY liberal, pro choice, and had friends...WOW. I got to ask them about it yrs later, and ask about the song "No Other Love" staying in the episode, when so many great artists were cut out when streaming happened. I was standing in between the sisters, big lesbian, with my queer daughter, and I told them what it meant to me for them to be on that show. Nancy took my hand, I might have been tearing up, she said that they have always had gay friend and gay fans and it was important to them to be an ally to the community. So, Thanks EZ!
I agree with you, the line that Jodi said to Bette...I was thinking the same thing. All the Bette and Tina shippers, I always felt like Bette needed to change to deserve Tina.
Love the MM choice. I have seen hundreds of concerts, and the only shows that had someone in the LGBTQ community, like Melissa Etheridge.
(I am still in therapy over League of Their Own...)
Great interview! Thank you for putting it on RUclips.

Your hot take on why "Gen Q" & "And Just Like That..." failed creatively could easily be applied to the disastrous "Queer As Folk" reboot. Yikes...

I don’t think she liked Kate and Leisha much 😂

I remember they weren't very complimentary about her or her song on their podcast so maybe that's why?

@@MYOB00 well the song sucks in all fairness lol I haven’t heard a song of theirs that doesn’t. Betty showed up on the show and then were in it constantly it was excessive imo.

agree the song sucks. But it must have hurt her feelings to hear two of her ex-colleagues basically criticise her publicly. Sometimes I think Kate and Leisha forget their audience includes people they worked with who probably listen in too... @@devildog3535
