On the blue pickup you looked at the white aid rig had the same Ford high idle box in the Rig. I think the emergency brake has to be ON for the box to high idle, just FYI. I remember the box acting funky on the white rig. Has the same Ford Diesel.😊
The 96 F250 with the powerstroke have a light weight frame that will flex when you go over a curb one side. I had a 95 super cab and the flex in the frame behind the cab broke my wheel to wheel running boards at the cab. Cab will flex about 6 inches. Also eats cam sensors. I went there 4 in 100000 miles. Truck was decent on fuel. About 24 on the road.
You two are a good match. Who wouldn’t love to drive all types of vehicles including boats and aircraft.😊

The Mack reminded me of starting a Gardner 180 back in the seventies, they would cut in a couple of cylinders at a time and smoke they yard out. Once warm they were the most efficient engines on the road and would last for years.
The 97 blue F350 with the intercooler, is added on, the OBS super dutys did not come with a intercooler. The super dutys weren't Intercooled until the 1999 model year change.

Probably going to trip over my own foot I'm posting this comment before watching the video but from the thumbnail and from what I've seen thus far I would say go with a larger service truck if you can financially afford it I have a couple of friends that do welding and heavy equipment repair and they both have told me having a bigger service truck is better not because you have more room for tools but because you have the weight capacity for the tools that you have

Thank you my Dump truck girl. Just FYI the white Ambulance 🚑 Aid Rig you walked by. I drove that to the site. I removed all the Red Emergency Lighting from it. Cut the two Siren speakers out of the grill. They were part of the grill. It belonged to the military before we got it.
Just a FYI it does have the SAME 7.3 engine as your current service truck. It was NEVER an emergency response Rig. So it was NOT driven hard. We used it for REHAB at big call outs. Plus just for training. We got two aid rigs donations for the fire Cadet Program so that's why we surplus the white rig. I can tell you anything about the rig itself, or any of your followers if they look to BID on it. Plus we brought a Ford explorer up to the site. It was also a REHAB vehicle driven by Chief Advisor. It also was never driven hard. He just drove it to and from the school skills center and went to big call outs. NEVER code RED. 😊

Need a long wire and hook the key. Unless key has no hole. I would put strong tape at the end of wire and touch the key enough to get good contact and slowly bring thewire out.
It would be nice if Bobby could afford that service truck it's setup pretty nice the other question is with his new job does he need it
Pretty blue turbo diesel 96 Obs F250 would make nice beginning contractor work truck I'd take it if I close by & tangerine Mack bulldog semi was gorgeous not bad with cold start also see Bobby test start one of my favorites old bobcat skeer & those tow behind flatbed trailers are awesome.

Oh no! That's the service truck I was going to bid on! I was hoping I could pick it up for cheap, I'm thinking about starting my own mobile repair business, but now I would feel bad bidding against you guys! LOL, Dang it! I can't get away from work to go look at the preview, from the pictures and your video it looked like someone either painted the engine recently or maybe it has a REMAN engine but can't tell, couldn't tell from the CARFAX either.

@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver I hadn't bid on it yet, and I just checked a couple hours ago, its a little too expensive for the age and the mileage for me also, I was hoping it was going to go super cheap, I think I'm going to pass on it also, usually the JGM auctions everyone bids alot at the last couple hours till the end, I bet it's going to go substantially higher than it is right now.
I've been catching up on your guys' last few videos, glad to hear Bobby found a job he enjoys, I'm kind of in the opposite boat, and I'm ready to jump ship LOL, I have heard the PUD is a great place to work with good pay, but in my area its hard to get into, you kinda have to know somebody on the inside to get hired on.

I would say replace it if y'all feel like you have the financial stability to pull that trigger. I know with winter approaching I'm starting to get closer and closer to being laid off for the winter unless the Union finds my ass a job somewhere warm and no snow lol but so far I haven't had any calls so money's going to be super tight this year and uncle sam isn't making me feel any better :(

I’ve been trying to find videos on when you should use your drop axle and when you shouldn’t use your drop axle. Do you apply the drop axle while you’re moving? Can you run your drop axle on the freeway at Freeway Speed? Basically the dues and don’ts of using your drop axle or tri-axle whatever you wanna call it. I can’t seem to find anything on the proper use of a drop axle. I am driving a super 10 with singles in the back with a drop axle.
You mean a super solo? I have videos from 2021 that explain how it all works. You should use you drop axles when you are loaded, even on the freeway.

Fix the one you have, then sell it and the '77 before buying another vehicle.
If it’s economically feasible for you to then yes.
If you can get that service truck at a good price it would be better than rebuilding that 7.3 and a much better size to work out of.
