  • The history of the word "poop" is riddled with peculiarity. Although "poop" clearly originates from Old French, the etymology of poop deck is not so clear cut. In fact, the earlier history may be more vulgar than suspected.

    I was thinking that the Poop Deck was made up before that it cant seriously be a thing on ships, but now i realise it is real, also heres my theory on the "Poop Deck" Maybe it was used as a Sarcastic way by sailors or pirates to say the "Backside" of the ship, but I think they don't have the joking mentality of a 2nd Grader, hopefully.
