    If you account for inflation over the decade, it's ridiculously inexpensive today to utilize sun power in most areas in the United States. Great video!

    I just started my solar power project after the 2021 deep freeze in Texas and am amazed at how quickly the price has dropped and the quality has improved in the short time. I don’t regret getting started sooner even though I paid more.
    I paid cash and will recover the investment in a couple of years.

    Very nice solar setup. I have four 450 watt panels, a LiTime 60amp controller, three 100ah Power Queen LiFePo4 batteries and a 2000 watt LiTime inverter. I am still slowly adding stuff and upgrading as solar is my hobby and addiction. Greetings from Jamaica.

    I'm just now trying to do something similar. Just bought the Ecoflow Delta Ultra Pro, waiting for it to arrive. I haven't bought any solar panels yet, gotta research on the most cost effective setup for that. Planning to test it by putting a few panels on a Lifetime plastic shed near my garage.

    Im not sure that you need advice but in my opinion it's best to run your airconditioners as much as possible from solar during the day because they use significantly more power when it's hot. Im not talking about trivial numbers it can be 25% pretty easily from what Ive seen.
    Minisplits are difficult to see and compare the differences because theyre variable, but central and window units is very obvious.
    Have you paid attention to their consumption during different temperatures/times and factored that into your timing of running them?

    • @timcat1004
      @timcat1004  17 дней назад +1

      I toggle between the grid tied solar and the battery solar. My minisplit sips 300 watts when I only need a little bit of cooling. It cranks up to 1100 watts when it can't reach target. That is when I switch to my old non inverter minisplt that maxes out at 900 always. I have it all under control. My goal is to use the off-grid array as much as possible.

    I've had 5.0 KWH solar panels since 2015... my electricity bill is $35 per month. and it's cut down my heating bill to $75 in January, in Saskatchewan....
    I'm not sure if I've paid them off yet, but, my bills are sure cheap!

      I'm in Alberta. We have what they call a solar club. We switch to 30 cents a kWh in the summer and switch to the lower rate in the winter. I pay nothing for power and most of my gas is covered by the extra solar credits.
