Takashi Saito had 39 saves, a 1.40 ERA, 78 Ks in 64 innings, and *an MLB record 0.715 WHIP* in 2007 and got no votes. Meanwhile Jose Valverde got MVP votes 😂
In 2006, if you ignore saves, Saito outpitched Hoffman across the board (innings, strikeouts, ERA, WHIP, etc.). Saito's save total was only as low as it was because the Dodgers took forever to demote Denys Baez out of the closer role. Yet, because of the saves, Saito finished 6 spots behind Hoffman.
I love that Jolly described Chad Cordero perfectly (minus going to the Reds) and was then surprised that he got his name right and didn't know who he was.
They were talking about Rockies, white guy name. Everything they said I kept thinking 'Uhhhh Jason Jennings..?' Jolly says I think he was a Yankee and I immediately was like Oh Jeff Francis!
Dang I was watching a lot of baseball during this time but only got 125/129. I remember Saito and Chad Cordero on my own, but I can't believe I missed Jarrod Washburn, Keith Foulke, Carl Pavano, and Brad Penny. Terrible.
I swear, these dudes hate Justin Verlander. Every video they name a ton of starting pitchers before remembering "oh yea, one of the best pitchers of all time," and even them they kind of question it. Like in this my first four picks would have been Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez and Justin Verlander.
62 year old Gaylord Perry absolutely should have gotten votes
I would have voted for him, but I lost my credentials after voting for 61yo Gaylord Perry

Jon Lieber won 20 games. Last Cub to do it until Arrieta in 2015.
Feel like Carl Pavano is pitcher Wil Myers in these Sporcle vids. They always forget him. 😂
Love the Sporcle vids
AND TODAY SHALL BE THE LAST DAY YOU FORGET THE NAME OF THE GREAT HARANGATANG!
Isringhausen more like Wasringhausen am I right?!
Goddamnit. Take my upvote and get out.
I'm sad they didn't get Darryl Kile RIP
I absolutely got Kile
Shoutout 25 year career Jamie Moyer! 89 mph fastball getting votes in his late 30s
These videos make great background noise while I work. I get to reminisce about baseball for 30 minutes
frank tanana in 1976 threw 288 inings with a 2.43 era for the california angels just a tip for monday
I love that Jolly described Chad Cordero perfectly (minus going to the Reds) and was then surprised that he got his name right and didn't know who he was.
Kevin Brown, Milwood, and Haren the 3 I’d have gotten but damn impressive
Saito was my favorite Dodger when he played. The Man from Miyagi. He was really good for his few years.
They were talking about Rockies, white guy name. Everything they said I kept thinking 'Uhhhh Jason Jennings..?' Jolly says I think he was a Yankee and I immediately was like Oh Jeff Francis!
Did anyone else trip out when BBD said the Niekro bit?
The second they mentioned the Mariner with 12 votes I said Jamie Moyer and went to open google and BBD said it lmao
Chad Cordero got a bunch of crap as a rookie because he wore a hat 3 times too big for his head. But he was a solid pitcher.
Count how many times jolly says who's that white guy or something similar lmao.
The Todd Jones breakthrough was great
14:18 Todd Jones Jolly! Kinda surprised you said Chipper Jones right after this, maybe subconsciously knew of the name…
you guys got more in five minutes than I did before I gave up, but to be fair there's only one of me
my shock when takashi saito entered my brain while watching this
Only one I got was Kevin Brown. Was surprised he never came up.
All in favor of JM Baseball buying the Twins?
was ryan thinking of rob dibble?

I miss him every day
i wouldve bet money that josh johnson was that marlin.
Rod Beck's nickname was "Shooter"
RIP Rod Beck. Giants Legend.
And one awesome season with the Cubs!
Francisco Cordero DID get MVP votes in 2004
As a Braves fan, I don't remember Javier Vasquez
As a fellow braves fan, I only know that because I saw it on baseball reference last night
Kazuhiro Sasaki was correct btw. He never got Cy votes though.
I got a much lower percentage but I did get Pavano, Haren, and Brown.
Kevin Brown?
Been screaming Harang for 20 minutes - I’m now hoarse
MENTIONED!!!

STOP DOING AN INTRO AND THEN SAYING THE EXACT SAME THING TO THE OTHER PLAYERS. IT'S SO UNNECESSARY.
i am A Dodger fan so i really hate the padres so much and fernando tatis jr
Thanks for sharing lmfao
Jolly I love you but maybe too many white guy references. Not offended but I did notice.
