    Pulling into a station with no buffer is dangerous in case the station goes down. Consider allowing for making it to an alternate charger station.

    As far as voltage, current and water hose analogies, I’ve always thought that if you’re talking voltage, that’s like the pressure in the water in a pipe is analogous to voltage, the flow of the water volume is analogous to current, the resistance say the smoothness of the pipe walls that inhibits flow (or the pipe diameter itself) is the same as resistance in electrical terms.     Where is state of charge?

      It depends on your car. Usually shown prominently as a percentage on the driver gauge cluster. The charger you plug into will also display your car’s state of charge.
