We redid our kitchen 15yrs ago and put drawers instead of cupboards in the bottom units .I would NEVER go back to cupboards you can see everything when you open them. I am planning on downsizing and the first thing I will do is get drawers in the base units. 😊

Firstly, Heidi and Ace, absolutely gorgeous. Our hearts belong to the GSDs and Basset Hounds❤. My husband and I are in the beginning stages of a log home build so I’m kitchen planning. Drawers are something that makes so much sense to me and soft touch is a feature I want to utilize. Thanks for the tour! Very helpful!

Looks great, but unless you plan to stack a lot of dishes all on top of each other (I don't recommend), or unless you've got some very large (tall) bowls, pots, or appliances that you intend to store in those drawers, I'd definitely recommend three (or even four) stacked drawers rather than two. As you can see by the depth of those drawers, there was a lot of wasted space. That said, they are very nice, and it was also sage advice on dish liners with double-sided tape!

If I was to do this again, I would leave most of the drawers the same, because of what I have in them,. but for the ones with my plates and dishes I would make them less deep and add a regular drawer above them right under the counter for hand towels or utensils. Dishes - I did not consider that but that is what I am going to do, because I have 4 large drawers, 3 smaller slimmer style and not enough upper cabinets for dishes (due to an island I wanted instead). Thank you for these ideas!
