This form of stepping trot is seen in clydesdales (one of the cobs ancestor breeds). Stepping cobs likely have a lot more clydesdale blood than what we call Traditional Cobs (the cobs with a more flat looking trot). It's possible stepping cobs also had hackney (a light stepping breed that was popular with pulling cabs in victorian england) :)

Hi im from South Africa. Just want to say that this is and awesome stepping horse. Does alot of uphill training help with that highstep?
