You remind me so much of my aunt your eyes are a blue like hers it may sound stupid but I watch this and think of her as you talk. This plant was her favorite color. I'm feeling so emotional because tomorrow is the anniversary of her passing. So this is perfect timing

Thankyou for showing us there is beauty in small bushes and shrubs, as well as plants where foliage is the focus. Using these types of plants is a great way to help us get out of our plant comfort zone. Personally I tend to go for plants that have bright flowers and also flower all summer. Great video Take care.

I enjoyed this video because I am making a list of plants that will give me not only blooms, but pretty foliage in the fall. We are building a pergola in our backyard next spring and probably building a raised bed for flowers and plants. I also want to have a fire pit somewhere because I enjoy sitting outside in the fall and think the grandkids would enjoy roasting marshmallows. P.S. Can't believe that you're already six months along; you look great!

Hi Laura, Love your videos. You mentioned several of your followers seemed to be using gravel or other things when planting bulbs. These ideas may be coming from Great Britain's Gardeners World TV show, You can find it on RUclips. It's hosted by Monty Don who uses "grit" to plant everything. The soil is clay and it rains a great deal so to keep the bulbs and roots from rotting they have to assure a lot of drainage additives. I hope this helps. Keep up the great videos.

I planted the Black smoke bush trees 25 ft. apart along my narrow lots for privacy . I'll cut them back after blooming because they get huge !
I need ideas for the foreground ? White buddlias , Boomerang's lilacs , spring bulbs will be in this fall . I have pink and lavender Tall Phlox to transplant along with the new lav/ blue pillar Rose of Sharon pillars at one end ×2 . I'm working hard to transform this bed by rerouting the overhead gutter draining to the edge of this bog to prevent over watering although the pillars tolerated it well in their first year .. I may need to transplant them on to drier soil 2 ft. away . Any ideas would be appreciated! Love learning from both of you ❤

The modren blush is a universal host for black spot so it will defoliate pretty severely during the summer. I'd recommend looking for a more resistant cultivar unless you want to spray/dust with fungicides often. (Unless it doesn't matter)
