I remember watching the original a ton back in middle school and it introducing me to the magical world of artists and animators on RUclips, and seeing it remade is it's own kind of magic. I'm in college now and I don't keep as close in touch with things now, but it's still a real pleasure to see you still creating, Corvi!
I’m starting to realize how messed up this was..and really how selfish Cheetwo was in the majority of it. Did he really expect Venus to protect them if they’re both locked in cages? All he could probably do is growl and bark but there’s nothing else he could’ve done to protect em, and not ONLY that, but Cheetwo DITCHES Vexus solely because he “lied to him” or “broke a promise” (or maybe he didn’t have time but if he wanted to he could’ve just swiped Vexus’s cape open too or smth and then dip) Nonetheless, he left him there for who knows how long, but it was long enough for them to completely change Vexus’s physical form.. That part just makes me kinda angry because once Vexus finally escapes and finds Cheetwo he happily runs towards him, as if he totally won’t have a grudge for him leaving him behind in that hell, but in the end it’s sweet to see them make amends in Vexus’s final moments and later on in the afterlife where they’re both reunited.
Yes Cheetwo is not a good boy! He was angry and blamed the wrong person uhh dog.. for it. He regrets it and it’s why this time when risk is in danger Cheetwo doesn’t run away this time but saves him, vexus was always forgiving but what was done to him twisted his brain Cheetwo severing those wires is what allowed vexus to be himself again. But it still doesn’t make Cheetwo a good person uh..dog
When Cheetwo pointed up the hill and Risk carried him up to Vexus' grave... I started bawling. Like, _ugly crying._ God, I swear youtube videos make me more emotional than movies.

I love how the remake still holds some of it's old elements such as the colors and background but changed the ending. Btw the colors with the black and white stand out such as the eyes its absolutely nostalgic watching this beautiful remake.

BRO this is so sad best friends turn on each other by mistake then one dies one lives to find on other friend then it dies beside it’s dead friends skull and feast in peace by it then dies this is by far THE MOST sad thing I’ve ever seen
My best friend just died a few months back and it’s been tearing me apart. This animatic dug up all the feelings I was hiding and now I’m left with a feeling of overwhelming grief and pain. The fact that they came back as birds and where reunited in another life just broke me. You did an amazing job on this animatic and I thank you for that, it’s something I can cry to and make me feel just a little bit better after words.

I don't even massively understand what the lore is and whatnot but by the time Cheetwo died beside Vexus' grave, I bawled. No questions asked, just pure emotion seeping out of my face. Beautifully drawn and animated, got me sobbing in the background.
Small detail that really stood out to me : When vexus was more machine(i assume) then dog we never got to see the side of his face mostly unaltered until when he died. Tiny but still caught my eye

I saw this in my recommendations and thought RUclips was being wild showing a super old video. But it wasn’t. This is amazing! I remember watching the unfinished version, and this was so amazing to watch the final product.
I was really surprised when I saw this in my feed, and im really glad I got to watch the premiere yesterday. Seeing this finished was awesome,, I never truly knew the original, but when you posted that first little wip of the remake back a few years ago, I watched it and the original and loved it. This really brings me back,, I was a freshman in hs when I saw the first wip and now I'm a senior, it's absolutely crazy how time goes,, and it's really inspiring to see a project like this followed through and finished after so long. This was honestly one of the few vids on here that gave me legit chills and actually made me sad, and I love the ending change from cheetwo dying alone to him dying surrounded by those he cares about (with Vexus's grave and the other character there), and the birds at the end killed me oh my god. Oh and the voices too!! I was so shocked
i physically, emotionally, and mentally cannot- this was recommended to me, and i had no background info on these characters, creator or story- and now im sobbing as i watch it for the 754259433th time.
i saw this animatic when it first came out (only three years ago ?!??!?) and since then it and this song has held a special place in my heart. there is something in the story and in the expressions that is very poetic and powerful and brings me to tears every time i rewatch it. a remarkable job all around and there is nothing for me to say other than that this animatic will forever be special to me.
This is phenomenal!! I teared up during most of this, but especially at the end- your facial expressions really make this animatic! Cheetwo and Vexus are my favorites of your characters (along w/ Eyesore and Sightless), and their story is really good and sad. Congratulations on finishing this- also good job to the people who voice acted, submitted thumbnail entries, and the person who edited it!

I first saw this video only a few days after it was posted. Now, almost two years later, I still come back to watch it, and I always cry a little at the end. This has been a big inspiration for me for a long time, and it introduced me to this beautiful song that I'm very fond of. There aren't enough words to express just how much I love this, but I guess that what I really want to say is thank you. I'm not ashamed to cry when Risk carries Cheetwo back to Vexus to be reunited in his final moments, or to cover my mouth in shock when Cheetwo is thrown back into his cage, even though I know it's coming by now. The music and the things that are happening really stir up emotions, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. It just makes it so much more enjoyable. So... Thank you for sharing this with us, really. ^^

I saw this in my recommendations and thought RUclips was being wild showing a super old video. But it wasn’t. This is amazing! I remember watching the unfinished version, and this was so amazing to watch the final product.
This makes me so sad, I remember watching this the year it came out. Story is so so good, but it just hurts.

I was really surprised when I saw this in my feed, and im really glad I got to watch the premiere yesterday.
Seeing this finished was awesome,, I never truly knew the original, but when you posted that first little wip of the remake back a few years ago, I watched it and the original and loved it. This really brings me back,, I was a freshman in hs when I saw the first wip and now I'm a senior, it's absolutely crazy how time goes,, and it's really inspiring to see a project like this followed through and finished after so long.
This was honestly one of the few vids on here that gave me legit chills and actually made me sad, and I love the ending change from cheetwo dying alone to him dying surrounded by those he cares about (with Vexus's grave and the other character there), and the birds at the end killed me oh my god.
Oh and the voices too!! I was so shocked

i physically, emotionally, and mentally cannot-
this was recommended to me, and i had no background info on these characters, creator or story-
and now im sobbing as i watch it for the 754259433th time.
i saw this animatic when it first came out (only three years ago ?!??!?) and since then it and this song has held a special place in my heart. there is something in the story and in the expressions that is very poetic and powerful and brings me to tears every time i rewatch it. a remarkable job all around and there is nothing for me to say other than that this animatic will forever be special to me.
Those birds at the end, Omg I broke down crying that symbolism was beautiful..! Tysm for giving my childhood back ToT
This is phenomenal!! I teared up during most of this, but especially at the end- your facial expressions really make this animatic! Cheetwo and Vexus are my favorites of your characters (along w/ Eyesore and Sightless), and their story is really good and sad. Congratulations on finishing this- also good job to the people who voice acted, submitted thumbnail entries, and the person who edited it!

I first saw this video only a few days after it was posted. Now, almost two years later, I still come back to watch it, and I always cry a little at the end.
This has been a big inspiration for me for a long time, and it introduced me to this beautiful song that I'm very fond of.
There aren't enough words to express just how much I love this, but I guess that what I really want to say is thank you.
I'm not ashamed to cry when Risk carries Cheetwo back to Vexus to be reunited in his final moments, or to cover my mouth in shock when Cheetwo is thrown back into his cage, even though I know it's coming by now.
The music and the things that are happening really stir up emotions, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. It just makes it so much more enjoyable.
So... Thank you for sharing this with us, really. ^^
how many just sat there watching this beautiful animation take place and just sob cause i hope i wasn't the only one feeling his guilt and pain and i just want to say this was a beautiful art piece and i give all of my respect to the artist just beautiful
