Thank you for this video addressing the issues of the very curvy and your encouragement to embrace the curves.
@slvrlady Thank you for your comment. I would love it if every woman felt confident in her body
Thank you so much for your help... Now, to find the right choices for me. It annoys me that curvy fashion designers/manufacturers and store sales staff seem to think that curvy people should wear or want to wear circus tents, one size fits all, and batwing sleeves with huge floral of wide horrizontal stripe patterns. I live in a rural town, and finding clothes for me is discouraging frustrating and depressing.😢
@lorettaeviston3104 Yes I totally agree. A lot of the designs are about covering a woman up and swamping her in fabric rather that giving her definition and enhancing her best features. It is kind of sad.
Thank you, this video was really helpful !!! I always have trouble with my short waist line, dresses look blah - just an idea for your content ❤
@MorticiasManicures You are very welcome. Thank you for the feedback. I will add this to my list.
Appreciate your perspective💕💐 will be turning in.
@sherrylono7157 Thank you for the feedback I am glad you enjoyed it.
Great video, so relevant and helpful.
@jennifertorregano1155 Thank you for the feedback I am glad you found it helpful.
Thank you, great tips for all!
@jillhudgins3210 You are very welcome.
I have a large bust and I take on board the fact that I look like a sack of potatoes in a voluminous dress. However, I gather some fabric on the inside at my tummy and off centre, and tie it up with an elastic band and voila I have a ruched dress that cinches my waist. Fabulous hack!
@caronreck295 That is a great idea. yes it is interesting what you can do with bands. In fact I have even seen dresses sold with them!
Very helpful 💕
@sarahs5340 Thank you for the feedback
As someone who was very plus sized in the past, one of the best sources for stylish, plus-sized clothing is Eloquii.
@adz5bneweng589 Oh thank you so much for letting people know this is really helpful.
My problem with the plus sizes is that it seems like they take small patterns and just add inches all around. So you send up with excessively large neck bands, drooping shoulders and trousers that are 5" too long. But, the sleeves are still short. If I find a "3/4 length" sleeve, it almost goes to my wrist. Long sleeves? Forget it.
@diedrastevenson300 Yes I think there is a whole upheaval needed in plus sized clothing. They all seem to think that women want to drown themselves in fabric.
❤❤❤
Thank you. 😊
As a 67 year old Muslim woman who covers, I found my style several years ago. I always wear abayas (long outer dresses) in solid colors, long solid colored cardigans in a matching or coordinating color, and a printed coordinating scarf covering my hair. The abayas are generally pleated at the bust, thus helping minimize my slightly thicker middle. Underneath I wear soft, black leggings and a moisture wicking undershirt, both leggings and undershirt are of soft thin fabric to keep me cool under my abaya. I get so many compliments on my style. They say I have a classic, professional look. I don’t emphasize my figure, rather, my style and frame. I am a teacher and my modesty works great, I never worry about exposure when bending over or moving about. My students and colleagues, who are all non-Muslim say I’m so put together and fashionable. A big plus is nothing I wear is binding or uncomfortable in any way. So glad I finally got it together and embraced my style.
@kaetheeltawely4072 Thank you for your comment. I love the colours and fabrics my Muslim friends wear they are so vibrant and beautiful! I think is fantastic you have maintained your style and feel fashionable and comfortable in what you wear. Some of my favourite jobs in styling have been when I have had Muslim women to dress as I love looking through all those wonderful colours!
❤
@lorainemc4216 I am glad you liked it.
😄❣
Can you show the cuts in a video that look better on plus sized women then skinny women?
@leighagrant7861 Yes this is a great idea thank you for the feedback. I will add this to my list of ideas.
Thanks for this great show! Do you have any tips for wheelchair users? I am a 1X size and sometimes feel that what looked OK when I was standing, does not flatter at all when sitting. Are assessories the answer? I would appreciate any advice.👩🦳
@valariegreer6822 I would avoid long dresses and skirts in case they get caught in your wheels. Choose detailing and patterns around your top half and that is what will be visible most and maybe match a top, bag or hat to shoes too to pull the outfit together. I would aslo suggest poppers where possible to make it easier to remove and natural fabrics to allow the skin to breathe better. I hope that helps.
Way too much telling and not ever enough showing 🫤
Thank you for your feedback
