    Great video , did you say fanatic are still going to run there sky wings next year? Or is just going to be the sky style and sky wave? I’ve been using the 5.0 skywing for a year and it’s been such a great board but feel like I need something a little smaller!

      sky wing is staying. and will be a great option for beginers and people still working out what style / style they want to ride. The price is also staying the same in 2023.

      If you send us a picture of your board and dimensions we will trace around it. And cut you custom stickers to protect from stone chips.

    How big is the difference between the sky wing and sky style? I do free ride and freestyle at the moment, but the style is very expensive and im wondering if its worth the upgrade

      hey dude,
      i have been using the sky style since the video in a range of conditions and i love it. Some of the changes you cannot see. i.e. the strength of the board. When i was learning to wing, the origional sky wing was not strong enough for my big crashes. The new board is simialr construction to a windsurfing board, so much stiffer and can take more of a beating.
      the shape also allows you to ride a smaller board as the volume is better placed.
      The only disadvantage is the rocker, decreases the waterline, so the lower end getting going is slightly reduced. however, the positives on a wave (having the rocker) outweigh these negatives and this board is designed for a more experienced rider, who should already be able to pump and get up on the foil efficently.
      the TE Free is the the better construction version of the origional sky wing, if you are really looking for a light wind freeride monster.
      The board is also significantly lighter!! which helps in many ways!
      try and demo one! i have some in the shop if you want to try mine! they truley are fantastic.
      im now using the 4' 9" instead of my older 5" sky wing

      Hi great video. Is the Green TE construction durable enough for everyday use?

    • @worthingwatersports
      @worthingwatersports  Год назад

      @@surfdraf Heya, the Mint Team edition from 2022 is now discontinued and just a few items remaining in stock.
      The intentions was for it to be lighter but the origional construction was not strong. Production was stopped and they remade them heaver.
      They are now perfectly fine for every day use. but just not enough difference in weight to the origional sky wing.
      Hence the design and big change to the full carbon 2023 TE's.
      now there is an entry level price point cheaper construction board
      And the full carbon TE for people who know what size they want and are experienced riders wanting the best board for their chossen wing style (wave, wavefreestyle or freeride)

      @@worthingwatersports that’s super helpful. So would you consider a 22 team a good choice at a discounted price or avoid and go for 23 board?

    Will you be reviewing the Unit 2023?

    • @worthingwatersports
      @worthingwatersports  Год назад

      Hey dude! yes i can do! been so busy with the new shop this year, we have not done as much as we wanted to!
      My new Units arrive this week!
      I have used them already in Italy before the launch. they are not massivily different but to be honest we dont want them to be. They are more refined and have tweaked some of the small issues the 2022 unit had. the front handle is bigger and stiffer, allowing you to control the wing when on a wave.
      The new material gives the wing better low end power and the shape of the wing has been tweaked so it doesnt swing around as much!

      @@worthingwatersports Can you really downsize half a metre - i'm riding slingshot V3 5m - might change quiver to 2.5/3.5/4.5 units v3
      What is the wingspan like? Generally bigger per size than the strikes or slingy V3?
      is the Unit V3 reduced its span/tucked it in slightly?
      cheers

      @@ianbisson9669 heya, who said half a size??
      i have generally always found duotone wings to be more stiff and refined. so jumping from another brand im sure you will see significant improvement in wind range. Then going to the newest model you will see even more.
      im 74 kg and always on my 3m when everyone is on bigger! i know im light but they are just so efficient.
      i find myself over powered, so wanted to do the same as you, move from 3,4,5 to 2.5,3.5,4.5 and maybe a 5m but every time i use a 5m its too much.
      i dont really wing when super light wind.
