The Coast Guard has several other medals, Personal Decorations, Campaign and Service Medals, (CG Commendation Medal, CG Achievement Medal, CG Gold & Silver Life Saving Medals, CG regular and reserve Good Conduct Medals, CG Pistol and Rifle Medals...), which except shooting medals, supercede service medals such as National Defense Service Medal etc...
😔 strange that I personally know of 2 NCOs and of course 1 Company grade officer, I mean having worked with them, I know some more SM 🙄 plural but have not worked closely with them. I don't want to sound condescending, but I had better relationships with recipients of the Bronze star as those with the silver star. 😳 🤔 Now purple heart is a bit more difficult cause there's a lot to unpack here. 🙄 After 25 years of Army stuff 😱 you some how see something. ,🖖
You forget the Bronze Star Medal, which comes before the Purple Heart Medal.
