Okay I saw a few people asking what they lyrics mean, and since I have nothing better to do, here's my interpretation of them.
T
he japanese in the beginning translates into “Okay, is everybody ready? Rock! Paper! Scissors!” At first I wasn’t sure why this snippet was included, but I think it could be referring to the feeling of child-like enjoyment. Many creative people develop their talents during childhood, and as a child you’re not concerned about making money or whether or not your art is ‘good’, you make art because you enjoy it.
The relationship between the singer and his fans can be quite turbulent and is referenced often throughout the song. In the first verse, his fans are presented as demanding, telling him to “keep it simple” and produce more content. The singer on the other hand prefers to put more time and effort into his content, valuing quantity over quality; he tells them to “take it easy”, meaning not to pressure him for frequent uploads. He makes a snarky comment about their impatience; they’re not “laughing at [his] money” because despite their demands and criticisms, he’s more successful and rich than they can dream of and they can’t help but admire that. It’s also a boast from the singer about his wealth, which is this song and modern rap in general.
“Spitting tracks” and “spinning gold” refer to the singer’s music career, the adjective “gold” emphases his wealth, which is unattainable to the listener; the singer is aware of this and taunts the listener by saying they can’t “combat” him, or reach his level. Again, his pride is emphasised as he values wealth over “Jesus”; the problem here however is not that he isn’t religious, but that he’s placing material wealth over everything else and becoming shallow. He then again boasts about his wealth, “ice” being slang for bling.
“Sleepin” could be referring to fans thinking he’s not making music anymore. This is corrected by the singer as he claims he’s awake and compares himself to an e-z bake oven, a toy oven that cooks quick simple food. Already, we see a change in the singer from the first verse, as instead of “watering” his ideas and letting them “grow” naturally, he’s starting to pump them out quickly to meet the demand.
“The grass is greener” is a reference to the expression “the grass is greener on the other side of the fence”, meaning if you compare yourself to others you’ll never be satisfied with your life. However, the singer reiterates his wealth and claims he’s happy, as he thinks his grass is “dank”, slang for cool.
“Different people” could be referring to losing old fans and gaining new ones, but despite having different people around him it “feels the same”, hinting he’s losing the feeling of enjoyment from his career. Brushing past this sad admission, he presents his real self as this wealthy celebrity, brushing off critics as “haters” who can’t reach him, when in reality he’s in “pain” because their criticism is correct.
The chorus emphasises the singer’s disconnect from other people and the world around him, as he isolates himself in his career and lifestyle. “Pain pills, nice clothes” is reflection of the lifestyle many big celebrities fall into, using drugs recreationally and indulging in expensive things like nice designer clothes, often to feel some sort of momentary relief or happiness. His disconnect from the world is again seen in the line “If I fall I think I’ll fly”, showing his arrogance that he won’t face negative consequences and will instead keep on being successful. “Midas” is a reference to a greek myth about a king who was granted the ability to turn everything he touched into gold; the singer implores Midas to touch him so he can keep living his luxurious lifestyle. However, in the myth, the king ends up begging the Gods to take his gold touch away after his daughter tries to hug him and turns into a gold statue. The moral of the tale is that wealth alone will not bring happiness, but the singer has not learnt this yet.
None to guide us” is interesting, as it could be referring to how the singer and other celebrities (the “us”) are often role models for their fans but don’t have any themselves. Or it could mean that nobody can guide him because he’s so above them now. Here it is presented as a good thing as the singer’s future is entirely in his control and as he loses touch with the ordinary people, he loses his sense of “fear” and is free to pursue his goals.
The para-social relationship between the singer and his fans is explored again, simultaneously beneficial and toxic. The singer reveals his other self that he presents to his fans, the "humble" and friendly creator that they can relate and talk to.
The creator is glad that his fans are so dedicated, but is “losing touch” from them as he gets more ingrained in his celebrity status and therefore more idolised. He gets support and admiration on “a silver platter”, meaning he doesn’t have to do much to earn it. As a celebrity, particularly one in a creative field like music, he’s admired to the point where people see him as a “god”; his music not only provides entertainment, but also inspiration for those who want to be in the music industry like him. However, by idolising him so much, the fans forget that he’s a person like them, but so does the singer as he becomes lost in the “facade”, believing himself to be better than others. Despite enjoying the attention however, the singer begins to become disenchanted with his fanbase and his music; he’s been put on a metaphorical pedestal “six-feet off the ground”, which again distances him from other people, but also starts to make him uncomfortable as he realises people are more interested in the persona he shows the world rather than the content he makes. It’s also interesting that he’s “six-feet” off the ground; this could potentially be foreshadowing his suicide later on, as when people are buried they buried six-feet under ground.
The singer realises that many of his fans are there just to idolise him and fawn over him, to the point where he doesn’t get any criticism or feedback on his music anymore. The unhealthy nature of this relationship is touched on again as the singer claims he doesn’t care if he’s being given “fake” praise, so long as he’s making “bread” (money). The fans present themselves as “below” him because they no longer see him as an individual but rather an image of success, and the singer gives in to this by acting the part. He no longer has a connection with his fans like he did when he first started; he has a crowd of followers who blindly adore him but he lacks real affection and appreciation. Despite this, he knows that without the “love” of his fans he wouldn’t be successful. Although this love is fake and the singer lacks meaningful relationships with other people, he’d be “Lost” without it because he’s become so used to this celebrity lifestyle, he wouldn’t know what to do if his fans suddenly left.
“When you become untouchable you're unable to touch” Remember Midas? The singer is now realising he’s not happy with his life, he’s gained so much wealth but lost his passion for his art and his relationship with other human beings. He accepted the role of an idol but has lost sight of who his “real” self is outside of his career, and this realisation is painful and overwhelming for him.
Now the line “None to guide us” is a hollowing realisation that he no longer has true friends to turn to as his mental health spirals further and further down. The singer loses sleep as his life has now lost meaning to him, and with nobody to turn to for help he “loses his mind”, becoming so overwhelmed that he decides the only way to stop feeling so awful is to kill himself. It could be interpreted that he returned to “pain pills” or some sort of drug as he feels “no stress”, his thoughts now delusional as he feels “divine” at the top of what may be a “high up” building. Finally, he urges himself to “lean in” and “let go” of his troubles by presumably letting himself fall off the building. Now when he feels fear for the “very last time”, it’s not due to a gaining of freedom, but from the loss of it as he falls to his death.

I think this song is about a man who becomes obsessed with money. He starts becoming cocky, disrespectful, greedy, and his whole life revolves around money and fame, nothing else. Overtime though he realizes that he's slowly losing himself. He becomes crazy, trying to figure out who the real him is. At the end he commits suicide. The feeling of not knowing who he was killed him, inside and out.

When it says "Touch me Midas, make me part of your design"
Midas was a King according to Greek Mythology. He was extremely rich. However he was very greedy and kept saving more and more money, gold, and jewels. He never gave any of it to people who needed it tho. His greediness crossed the line when he made a wish that whatever he touches would become gold. The Gods, knowing he would regret it, granted his wish. Midas was so happy, that he started touching everything to make it gold. He invinted the people he knew to dinner so they could celebrate the event. He sat on the chair, and it became gold. Everyone cheered. Then he held a piece of bread, it became gold too. He started feeling nervous, as he realised that he could not even eat or drink. He then accidentally pet his dog. The dog became a gold, lifeless statue. He then felt so unhappy for the loss of his pet. The same happened to his cat that rubbed its head on her owner's arm. Midas, seing his two lifeless pets, he slowly started regretting his power. His daughter then run towards him. Before he could stop her, she held her father's hand. Before he could know it, his daughter became another golden statue. He then got up, running towards his garden. Tears stung his eyes, as his beloved daughter was gone. The lifefull, green garden became golden. The green trees, the grass, the fountain where frogs and butterflies gathered, everything became gold. He then started begging the Gods to remove his power and make everything like it was before. The Gods who had given him the lesson he needed, felt sorry for him and removed his power. Right after the garden was full of life again. His daughter ran and hugged him. His pets started walking again. Midas got his lesson and learned not to be greedy. He ended up giving a lot of his money to poor people, as he realised in the end that money does not make people happy
So- when is says "I'm losing touch get me" it's because he cannot touch anything because it becomes golden so he lost touch because if he touched anyone, they would die. When is says "Served on a silver platter" I think it talks about the dinner they had and he touched the food it became gold which is why he lost touch. And when it says "they told me I'm God" it is because he is considered to be god because everything that he touches becomes gold. So when it says "Can you heal me, have I gained too much?" well, he is asking if he could be healed because what he got is like a sickness and of course he has gained too much, everything he touches be come gold!! Then when it says "When you became untouchable you're unable to touch" that's because he IS untouchable cause if he touches or is touched by someone or something it becomes gold.
ALSO! when is says "touch me Midas make me part of your design" I believe it has two meanings and here's why. One of the song's topic is money so he say Midas to touch him, so he can become gold, which is something very valuable. The second topic is depression so when it says, ''touch me Midas make me part of your design" it pretty much means that all this depression led him to suicide, so he asks Midas to touch him so he would become a lifeless golden statue.
