Helpful video, thanks! For visitors the first most important thing is to learn about the culture and the norms. Japan is a place hugely driven by its culture and you miss a lot if you don't learn about it and be respectful of it. Not disturbing others in the shared spaces is a big cultural value so things like being quiet on the trains is very important, not sitting on the ground in public, loud drunkenness, blocking the sidewalk etc. Please don't ruin local areas for residents by posting private places on your Instagram for clicks. Japan is amazing but its a place where everyone benefits if you do your research and follow the norms.

For my country (Philippines) there is a different set of airlines that fly to Haneda and Narita. The more expensive international airlines have flights to Haneda, while the cheaper airlines have flights to Narita. It cost $100 - $150 more to fly to Haneda. For the JR pass, they increased the price last October 2023, and it's only of JR owned transportation services.

I’ve just back from Japan first time ; my recommendation
1;Pack light backpack washing machine in hotels
2; I got JR pass a must first class travel on Shinkansen train everywhere
3; Kyoto a great base to travel from. Amazing city, also stay a night or two at Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Mt Fuji, Tokyo good for Disney land,Disney sea,but full on busy,

    • @twostate7822
      @twostate7822 4 месяца назад +2

You've got to do a lot of long distance travel by Shinkansen to make the JR pass pay off even a little after the huge price increases last fall.
Also, you can't travel on the most frequent and fastest Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen trains, the Nozomi, without paying extra.

Living in Tokyo was great! There's always so much to discover and explore, it doesn't get boring. Commuting times can be tiring, it took me about 90 minutes to go to university (from my university dormitory haha) and when working, there are also so many rules; but you get used to it. @@dawnadavis8642 Oh it depends on what you like! Tokyo has some great offers that can still be moderate cost-wise; APA hotel is a popular chain for example, they have these all around Japan and they are always in well connected places! If you check out the rooms online and you like them, I would go for these because they are so convenient :) For the location, I think Shinjuku is super central and you can reach everything very easily!

HAHAHAHA...FYI, Taxi is dirt cheap compared to the USA. Just get a daily pass as it's cheaper and easy to get. Better to take a short train ride outside the main area if you want to save money. Don't carry your passport with you. Download the passport app that way you still get tax free and you don't have to worry about losing it. Only long lines in the tourist area and even then they are not that long.

I am Japanese. I am happy that people enjoy Japan's culture and nature.
However... I would like people to also respect Japan's nature and culture.
There are far too many foreigners with bad manners.
Japanese service is appreciated by people overseas because of our gratitude and spirit of consideration for others. Not littering, using facilities cleanly.
To us, these are natural things.
I would like people to cherish this spirit.
I would like people from overseas who come to Japan to know about this and this spirit.

Hi , Miss Huang. Do you know about Nanjing Massacre and Unit 731?
Since you are introducing Japan to the world world, so it's important for people from Europe and US to know about Nanjing Massacre and Unit 731. This is the most important history in human.
Europeans and Americans are not educated in their schools about Nanjing Massacre and Unit 731, so it's better to tell them about the history.
