These "history lessons" that you include in your reviews REALLY enhance them! I had no idea that InvadR and Texas Stingray have repurposed trains from Gwazi!
I rode it for the first time last week and was surprised at how great it was. The pacing was awesome and it truly didn’t let up at all during the layout.
I agree that it's very underrated. The airtime was solid when I rode it, and the pacing is great. I agree that the night rides are excellent. Even though the line was long earlier, I was able to get 5 night rides in a very short time. 2 of those came during the fireworks show, as I was able to run around and get back on the ride before the show ended. Those fireworks night rides elevated it for me.
You really get around, man. Great content, must be a lot of work to get all these solid videos out. I enjoy Invadr, I agree with almost all of what you said. It's a fun addition at BGW
I just started working there today and after work I rode it multiple times. I dont know why, but all the lift hills were zooming today and this hauled on a different level then any other woodie I have ever ridden
Man, I wish you'd do a top 10 or 20 smoothest woodies. I have an issue with rough wooden coasters but can easily ride the smoother ones. I need a good guideline on which are smooth, even if they aren't great rides.
Dude I love this ride, me and my gf have been to BGW 3 times this year and always get our rides in. The family coasters at this park are fantastic and depending on the day they're my favorite at the park
Okay I know I'm going to sound kind of GP for asking this but since modern gci's have steel support structures doesn't that mean they can technically be advertised as hybrids
I rode it during October of last year (2023) and found it to be horrifically rough. It rattled like crazy throughout the entire layout and to make matters worse, it also has violent transitions. If you watch a POV where the camera is rigidly mounted to the train, it becomes obvious that it uses tangent-radius transitions. So, it has all the rattle of a woody and all the jank of an Arrow, which is not a nice combination in my opinion.
Invadr reallly showcases how gci can go from world class woodies like Mystic Timbers and Wood Coaster and family coaster, but to be fair gravity group does to it better with Oscars Wacky Taxi and Voyage
Do you know how to record on a coaster do you strap a GoPro to your chest or holding it on your arm if you have any advice on coaster povs if you have time can you tell me how to legally do it
First, it depends if the park allows it. All my POVs were filmed with permission. I recommend asking the park in advance via email. I use either a chest or wrist mount depending on the park (some only prefer one or the other) and ride.
@@CanobieCoaster huh. I will say it was ridiculously hot that day and we were all overheated so that may have been part of the problem. Wish I could have gotten a second rude later in the day but.....Pantheon
I have not ridden InvadR but I have ridden Kentucky Flyer. I will say I love that Gravity Group family wooden coaster and I get much enjoyment out of it. I am curious what GCIs take on a family coaster is.
In my opinion this coaster was brutal it did have like 1 moment of airtime but it feels like a 20 year old wooden coaster instead of a 7 year old coaster I just hate it I appreciate that is a lone wooden coaster at the park though!
@@CanobieCoasterto me it seems that it very often gets compared to Troy as being the worse version of Troy. Even though I think it is so much better than the other European GCIs, and by a lot. (yeh it's quite short but the pacing is absolutely amazing)
rode this today (just got back from our trip) and it was more first modern wooden coaster and holy shit i was not ready for that didnt get a night ride tho :( also was running 1 train
These "history lessons" that you include in your reviews REALLY enhance them! I had no idea that InvadR and Texas Stingray have repurposed trains from Gwazi!
You're welcome!
For a family coaster, this thing hauls!
Sure does!

This line always dies at night, which works for me since that's the best time to ride.

Thanks! I have an efficient process at this point and enjoy it anyway.
Great review! Wasn’t a coaster I knew much about before.
It's underrated.
Jeff Pike.. the king of decent but unmemorable coasters
I agree a lot of GCIs ride similarly, but I don't mind.
@@CanobieCoaster he also designed all the skyline attractions hehehe
@@djsugarc1075 Those things are just trash.
It may be just this and just that, but it’s just so fun! If you like Big Thunder Mountain, you’ll love this one.
I like both those rides.
I just started working there today and after work I rode it multiple times. I dont know why, but all the lift hills were zooming today and this hauled on a different level then any other woodie I have ever ridden

That's a tricky video since conditions can change.
I have seen so many POVs and reviews on this video in my recommend recently!
I had seen other POVs on this ride lately, but not a review in a while.

My best friend and I thought this would be a “baby coaster”, boy were we mistaken lol! We always buy our ride photos now
It's solid.
I didn't even know they reused the trains 🤯
It was one of the many ways Gwazi will live on.
Okay I know I'm going to sound kind of GP for asking this but since modern gci's have steel support structures doesn't that mean they can technically be advertised as hybrids
They technically could.

It was mostly smooth for me last year.
Invadr reallly showcases how gci can go from world class woodies like Mystic Timbers and Wood Coaster and family coaster, but to be fair gravity group does to it better with Oscars Wacky Taxi and Voyage

I rode this a few months ago and it was definitely rougher than I expected. I didn't hate the ride but it wasn't my favorite.
It was smooth for me back in April.

Both are a lot of fun.
Very fun, but it took 40 minutes for them to put a second train. The seeing those gwazi trains again made me a lil nostalgic
That's a while.
@@CanobieCoaster it is. Ops where bad when I went. Btw I love your videos your extremely underrated
For a family coaster, this is a good ride.
Agreed!
I was surprised that It didn’t have a 42 inch height requirement like apocalypse at magic mountain used to
That would've been extra nice for kids.
@@CanobieCoaster it is running quite aggressive recently in my recent visits to magic mountain in the past few months
I think it runs more consistently like night vs. day because of the steel support structure.
Maybe!
Floater and flo-jector airtime? This coaster has ejector almost to the level of RMC.
I haven't gotten airtime that strong.
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, from the old Gwazi Wooden Coasters
Yes!
You should have just said it is the only wooden coaster at any Busch gardens, period!😂
True!
Would you compare this to Wooden Warrior?
I think this has comparable airtime pops but it holds its speed better.
@@CanobieCoaster I underestimated this then!
Imagine this with the normal twelve cars
Those turns!
In my opinion this coaster was brutal it did have like 1 moment of airtime but it feels like a 20 year old wooden coaster instead of a 7 year old coaster I just hate it I appreciate that is a lone wooden coaster at the park though!
It fits in the lineup well.
With the steel suppots aint this technally hybrid
Wood track, steel supports.
Whenever I ride this it is HAULING so no matter where I am I get some really good laterals and airtime. I almost ended up in the seat next to min once
I've never ridden this in the heat and still get great rides on it.
Wodan is the world's most underrated GCI in my opinion
I think that one gets talked about a lot.
@@CanobieCoasterto me it seems that it very often gets compared to Troy as being the worse version of Troy. Even though I think it is so much better than the other European GCIs, and by a lot. (yeh it's quite short but the pacing is absolutely amazing)
I forgot about this ride
It's one of my favorites at the park.
I Definitely Wouldn't Call It Underrated But Its Still A Great Coaster
I really like it.
Is it rough?
Not to me.
The coaster is a decent ride but it’s a little bumpy but wooden coasters are bumpy most of the time
It is a bit bumpy, but perfectly tolerable.
It does have a small amount of airtime which is good
rode this today (just got back from our trip) and it was more first modern wooden coaster and holy shit i was not ready for that
didnt get a night ride tho :( also was running 1 train
This is a great night ride.
cool name. InvadR
The spelling is odd though.
The first drop actually looks kinda steep
It's great in the back. GCI needs to do more straight drops.
Overtime GCI coasters don’t hold up. Invadr should’ve been what Texas Stingray is.
I hope they can maintain this one.
Both GCI’s at SeaWorld parks have straight drops and there 2 of the only ones
I hope the trend continues.
I experienced this ride with 1 train ops it was a like a one hour wait
Yikes, I know this line can back up.
Ngl I got no floater airtime I mostly god VOILENT ejector airtime
Nice!
I don't get the hate for this ride.
I hate the weird spelling of the name, but otherwise like it.
In my opinion invadR is just a weaker wicker man however It’s still a great family coaster.
I need to get back there to try Wicker Man.
apocalypse is more-er underrated
I prefer this one.
Didn't like this one it was too rough and jerked me around too much
Oh no! I found it smooth.
@@CanobieCoaster smooth where? There was nothing smooth about that roller coaster I was just there 2 weeks ago
This ride sucks
I enjoy it.
