West Ham are close to agreeing a deal with Manchester United for the signing of right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Once Wan Bissaka joins West Ham, Manchester United can progress their deal for Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui.
West Ham are also advancing on a deal for Borussia Dortmund forward Niclas Fullkrug.

AWB is a useful player and was a regular last season. He’s an incredible defender, not on my priority of players to leave big mistake selling him

Bad deal, AWB is surely a keep, is there something they know that the rest of us don’t. Solid defender who has improved in his attacking. Good mentality, never causes a problem and professional. Surely we need more defenders like him in the team. This is going to come back to bite United. Mazraoui is more likely to be a loose cannon where we need a team of professionals. It's the last year of his contract so he's gone for free next summer. He's a good defender, and you're right that his attacking has improved but it's still a shortcoming. Has Mazraoui caused problems at Bayern or Ajax? Where's the loose cannon comment coming from?

AS a West Ham fan I rate him highly. His one-on-one tackling is right up there, and just look how he stifled Man City's attacking threat in cup final. I think 15 million would be cheap, but, as we are West Ham, I am sure our board will value him at around 10 million and the deal will collapse.

I wish we could’ve seen AWB play as a right-side centreback in a back 3 or 5 just once before he leaves, like what Shaw did a few times as a LCB. Seems like the perfect role for him
They would rely on Dalot, but the most defensive and strong right back is AWB. If this happens, it's a disadvantage during clutch moments defensively.

Any fan worth his salt would never criticize an injured player for being injured. Varane is gone now and Shaw will hopefully be back to his best the coming season. The talent is there, but ETH really needs to figure it out this season. He's had all the tools and backing. No club would ever perform 'open heart surgery' because it's near impossible to push out 10+ first team players on £100k+ a week.

AWB is a great option as RB and does offer some simple link up play forward just can’t cross or assist.
I think it’ll be good to get him off the books, but there are players and areas of the team that need gone before AWB. AWB still seems like a 30-40 million right back to me.
What are they doing? We need a left back, but that doesn't mean we should sell one of our best right backs. This was the position I didn't think about cuz of Dalot and Bissaka. They just need Ugarte or some other DM and one Left back

I hope we don’t regret this decision because AWB is proven in the PL. Our issue is actually at the LB position because Shaw is 30 & always injured every season we need a new LB.

Wan-Bissaka is a fantastic defender. Going forward isn't his strong suit. I've always wondered why ETH and other managers never thought to utilise a back 3 and have AWB as a RCB. Bringing in Mazraoui is a mistake. There's been talk that he can play on the left but that's because Hakimi is RB for Morocco and revered. His performances for Bayern when fit haven't set the world alight and Bayern would just love to see the back of him.

@@BodieC92 You're just pulling out statements for the sake of it. Wan-Bissaka is not an attacking defender and isn't comfortable going forward. The answer with AWB is to play him as apart of a back 3 or as a RB with Dalot on the other side. Dalot goes forward, AWB, the RCB and LCB tuck into a back 3. ETH is not tactically inept but my God has he really dropped the ball with AWB.

Manchester United signing: This Mazraouri better be miles better, an obvious upgrade to Aaron Wan Bissaka.
Instead of training and improving current players, United seems to be perpetually looking over the fence and coveting the neighbours' players.
Sometimes, these players that they buy are marginally better, most of the time they are worse/about the same as current players, the only difference is that United like to waste money to pay other clubs and agents.
And players that are marginally better begin to play poorly or get injured as soon as they join United.
ETH better get this act together. Especially the injury part.
And NO, it is not luck. 5 to 10% worst than other clubs might be attributed to luck, not consistently 40% worst than other clubs.
Currently 4 first team players injured before season starts. Find out the reason and stop it.
