@@techforthemasses7086 of course each upgrade typically brings more new features but still sometimes new gadgets are not always the best. Take battery life for example in this watch comparing to watch active 2 40mm or 42mm

    • @techforthemasses7086

I misspoke. I meant the original galaxy watch. I was speaking mainly to the design, as I really like the look of the smaller black one. I hate the larger variant. Battery life is why I switched back to pebble, a video on that should be coming soon.

I have the gear s3 gear sport and the active all of them really Similar Galaxy active is not much of an upgrade. Probably because of the missing rotating basil and extra stuff but yet it is still a good watch but I do still prefer the gear s3 and the sport mainly because of the screen size because battery is great on all devices

Is it the 2nd gen watch active or first gen? If it's the second gen then I would get that one since it will get software updates longer, and still has the software rotating bezel. The first gen active is essentially just a smaller gear Sport.

@Mert Efe Asilkan. There is a larger version of the first gen I'm pretty sure. honestly though Samsung has been pretty good with updating their watches so there shouldn't be that big a difference between the first gen active and gear Sport. True. I will be making a video about the pebble time very shortly which is a watch with 5 day battery. It's been discontinued but it's what I use now. Being honest though, you would be hard pressed to find any full on smartwatch that lasts longer then 2 days.

Mine has lasted me a really long time, about 3 years so far. The battery is still great. Just don't take it to a water park or anything like that. Super high pressure water can force it's way under the heart rate sensor. I still get updates for it too. (Also a sub or like would be massively appreciated :)

If I remember correctly you can either use the Samsung health app, or tap on the workout button in the health app on the watch and there should be a history button or something that has an old workout that you hit. I don't remember exactly since I haven't had the watch for a while but I know there is one in the Samsung health app on your phone and the watch.

Hoping someone can help: I bought my Gear Sport back in February on Ebay (only site that would ship to my location), and after almost 6months of use, the screen won't turn on anymore.
I had a long day at work, and forgot to charge my watch before going to bed. So the next morning, I saw that my watch had died, and decided to leave it on the charger till I got back. Later that day, I come back, and ill I see is a green pixilated screen, and nothing else. Still responds to the rotating bezel and notifications, but I can't do anything else on it. I've tried every solution I could find on the internet, but the screen still won't turn back on.
I love this watch, and don't want to have to get rid of it, so I'm hoping that someone can help.
    Attempts:
    - Leaving on the charging dock (both plugged and unplugged)
-Holding the power button (on and off the charger)
-Holding both power and back buttons (on and off the charger)
    Results:
-Nothing, no change, screen still won't work

That's really strange. I would pop off the back cover and check for water damage. It might just be some light corrosion around the display ribbon cable. Water can get in through the heart rate sensor plastic cover if the glue starts to come loose.

In that case I would get the gear Sport, since the first gen active doesn't offer enough features to warrant the higher price, and lack of a rotating bezel. Yes it's not a big difference in price but the gear Sport looks nicer and not having any sort of a bezel or digital crown is personally a deal breaker for me. ( Not gona simp for a homie but like a sub would be massively appreciated)
