2:20 I still remembered this goal
6:10 it goes off like a rocket and then it is flying in like slowmotion, incredible goal, what a shooting technique
Don’t see many Wayne Rooneys about. What a player, Uniteds leading top goal scorer
Rooney is an all-time great!
Check this out, Bernardo Silva is praised for not having a fixed position. He is considered one of the most versatile footballers of his generation. His ability to slot into any position and do well is rightly lauded.
By the same token, Rooney was that and much more for his generation and his generation had greater players (Messi and CR7 anyone?).
Rooney doesn't get the credit for making sacrifices. He played wherever he was asked to and excelled for many years. On the left, on the right, second striker, striker, number 10, Centre mid, etc. He gave a 100% wherever he was deployed.
One of my all-time favourite players. Unplayable on his day.
I do remember that overhead kick goal . I was 13 year old when I watch that highlights game between Man City n united . And that Rooney goal made me become a huge fan of united . And will always be united fan ( Between that year I also became a huge fan of Neymar .) From Northeast India . 🇮🇳 UNITED BIG FAN .
My all-time favourite player!
Me too no question about that
