I am a horse person and almost all believe coyotes can’t kill a horse. Well they can. Poor horse would have a put up a long fight. It suffered. Please take them off the rope. Fences.
On Lester’s live Friday? I think with a Dutch, he mentioned a horse had been killed by a mountain lion. It was after this video was filmed because he was clean shaven by the end of the life. As this wasn’t far from LHL, I thing it’s could be scarier than coyotes. Because it hunts by it self and is faster than coyotes. Coyotes are braver in packs, easier to scare off. Makes me not want any of them to go out at night. Soon Lex will be going back to school, is Lester going to do his weekly Thursday visit, leaving Jami to possibly deal with these creatures at night? How many are out there? That’s the scary part, getting rid of one pack could just have another take over that territory. So much that will not be known. And I never realized how much land is by the river. All so easy to hid in. The goats know as prey, that something is out there. Laying in the grass just waiting. Mountain lions hunt during the day as far as I know. Coyotes at night. I’m glad I live in the city, way up north.
So pig Trudy is a feral hog.....now you've grown to love Trudy, imagine if Laramie and Bri didn't give Trudy to Lester!!!! Would you want her killed because she is looking for food to sustain herself???? The animals are not the problem.....its building on natures territory
Lester, I’m wishing you continued progress/success in going forward to resolve this predator issue to keep your family and all the babies safe. Stay safe ❤️😘
It’s awesome that Dutch came all that way. Thank You for supporting Lester . It’s great to know that you have friends like Dutch to help you. I keep thinking of Huck . Thinking we can’t have this happen again. That poor horse had no chance Poor Sweetheart 😢
Knowing that horse was tethered, it’s almost like it was bait for the coyotes. How incredibly sad.😢 Just goes to show why they should be corralled or fenced, with a way to escape if necessary. Stay safe y’all!❤
Worse mountain lion..at least that what was said in Dutch’s video. Lester said he got a chance to look at the horse and you could see the claw marks and it had to be a big cat. Add I could be wrong it might of been said on Lester Friday live with Dutch …. There so many videos I am confusing them
I can't believe all of those dens are there. You certainly have your work cut out for you, Lester. Please be safe and vigilent. Coyotes are some tricky doggos. Dutch, thanks again for coming to help LHL. You are a Rockstar. ❤❤
So glad that Shawn took time away from everything he does an his family to help you out!!! Huge thank you!!!! 💓💝💘❤💖 watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great night!!!!
I will say again, it was so kind of Sean to travel such a long way to help. Thank you @keepingitdutch. You may need to set traps. I know you hate the thoughts of killing a trapped animal but I am really concerned for the babies at LHL.
I"M ANITA: Lester you do live in the thick of it, all those woods. Mercy! It would be so hard to get rid of coyote's. It was so Great of Shawn to come and help you! God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals
Genuine question and not picking a fight. I’m just sharing my thoughts: Why kill ALL of them when clearly only a few of them are the problem? If there are as many dens as you said and so few attacks, it clearly shows that not all the coyotes are the problem. And they’ve probably been there for a long time and Lester never had an incident before Mr Huck. So, why kill them all? If a murderer from a community kills someone in another community, should we kill all the members of that first community? Just in case? Sounds extreme, doesn’t it? I’m sure there are alternative ways to deal with the problem…like actually having the LGDs out doing their job. These goats should simply never be out alone. Millie and Fiona should be their 24/7 bodyguards and not house pets. I find this entire situation very disheartening. 😢 RIP Mr Huck. And RIP coyotes.
And That is why Lester is doing what he is doing to protect his family and animals Lester keep protecting your baby's you are doing the right thing love you guys Charlene DeLawder in Phoenix Arizona ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Seeing the horse that was tied up and killed because it couldn't get away. Really made me think back to some neighbors that installed a underground electric fence for their dogs to keep their dogs in their yard. But I told them it does not prevent another animal coming in your yard and attacking your dog. Your dog has no way to escape without getting shocked.
Great video, Lester. I'm a fan of Shawn's family and watch all their videos too, along with the Arms Family and Cog Hill family - all of them that you introduced us to. Great people with good family and christian values.
Dutch is a true friend to you and Jamie… How sweet of him to make that long journey to come and help you eradicate the coyotes… Please understand that I am an animal lover as well and also I have owned equine and canine all my life. I would be just as protective as you have been so I’m not looking to do anything, that would even cause an innocent animal… Like a deer etc. to get a hold of any kind of poisonous substance. Or eat an animal that dies from a poisonous substance I’m just not sure how to eradicate all of those predators that are close to you except for hiding out at night. That’s dangerous for you as well and I don’t want you out there by yourself for sure. I think you guys are awesome and if I did live closer, my husband and I would be there to help you guys in a heartbeat. I think what you do and your lifestyle is awesome and some thing that my husband and I would’ve done if we didn’t have the chance when we were younger. Our daughter is grown and now we are helping with grand children. A farm such as yours would be way too much work for us. We want a working farm with a working farmhand that lives on site/also with veterinary skills. I Halle pad for our helicopter to fly us out in a hurry. Also, I want to congratulate you on your workmanship with your drone. You have come along way young man and you are becoming a pretty darn good pilot. Carry on.😍🌺💕
Hi Lester you and Dutch found lots of dens thankfully not all active. I’m glad you managed to get one and hope the trapping you continue to do and keeping watch in the hide helps to eradicate the others. Pleased you were both kept safe. Remember many moons ago whilst working in Romania running for my life as I was being chased. We’d camped up for the night wouldn’t go out again on my own after that please look after yourselves. Thank you Dutch for all you do !! Helping Lester and Jami protect the babies !! You are a true and good friend and have a great page to !! Take care and safe travels
Hi Lester & Dutch. Dutch thank you for helping g Lester out with the coyotes. I remember you and Jami finding a couple of empty dens when you were out exploring after you bought the property. I am wondering if they just started coming back and started using the dens again. I hope you Continue trying to get rid of the coyotes
💔 for that poor horse who suffered needlessly! Tied up? Totally unacceptable!!! Thanks to Dutch for his sage advice & assistance ! A marvelous connection made!!!❤❤
How heartbreaking...Lester and Jami...please stay safe...I'm glad Sean was able to come down and help...hopefully you will be able to eradicate them all...maybe you can have a "townhall" type meeting at the Fire department with all the neighbors and discuss solutions to the problem...
The story of that horse is so sad and scary. If enough of them can get together to take down a horse nothing is safe. Keep doing what you are doing to get rid of the threat.
@@TheBulle I agree that’s why I said it’s a sad story. If it wasn’t tied up it would have had a chance. But it doesn’t change the fact that if enough of them get together and separate out a large animal they could work together to take it down, especially if there is a older or injured animal in the herd.
Great job Lester and Dutch. I know it can't be easy for you having to do this being an animal lover, but you have to protect the babies and i hope people understand that. I wish you luck on your hunt.
Such a beautiful view yet so sad those dens and predators are there as well, and that poor horse didn't have a chance 😢 I hope you continue to catch them, and thank you Shawn for helping Lester❤
The coyotes have been there a very very long time and way before any farming was established. I think there’s a better chance of securing Lester’s animals than eradicating coyotes. They can come from miles away and there’s no way to prevent them coming back.. coyotes will travel through developments and neighborhoods and sadly take cats and dogs that aren’t safe as well. I’ve lived near heavily populated coyote areas and they are very resilient and smart little creatures.
Thank you Dutch for help Lester with his Coyote problem. Lester, I can understand why the Coyotes like your wooded area, there is so much cover for them, they food all around them, The sad part of it all is us human and mother nature cross each other. Good Luck with your mission..
If they are making dens, they intend to stick around. You're doing the right thing for your animals and yourselves, by managing these guys. It hurts you, I know, but enough coyotes are also a danger for you guys. You saw the horse. Imagine yourself in that horses position, even loose, you cannot run faster than these coyotes. And you have a young boy you need to protect. Take care of yourselves please.
As far as internet friends go. The love of my life, my better half, was someone I met online. I am grieving his loss worse than any other loss I've ever experienced in my life. Those you meet on the internet are absolutely capable of being your closest and dearest relationships of your life... I know by very painful experience that it's possible.
Wow, that entire riverbank is infested with coyotes! 😨 It might take some assistance from the neighbors to clear that batch out, Lester. I'm hoping you can trap the majority of them; might be easier. Dutch, you're a very good friend to help Lester with this. Thanks for that. ❤️ Sending much ❤️ and continued success from Michigan 🌊
I hope everyone stays safe. My father and family have been an avid hunter all of my life. As young girl many times I would go with my father hunting. He taught all of us many things, specially safety.
Wow, first one to comment... Cool. Thanks for all you share with us Lester, I enjoy being a part of your internet family... Love, hugs and Blessings to you all.
I already follow Keeping it Dutch . You introduced us to Dutch a long time ago. It’s so nice you and other creators are good friends and promote one an other. You are all good people sharing your lives with us. We appreciate you so much. You make us feel like friends and neighbors.
Thank you Dutch for helping Lester out. He's such a funny man. You all stay safe. And hope you can get the coyote problem under control. . I.m so sorry about the horse. Maybe letting them roam free without the halter and rope. Cause they can't get away from any predictor. Been tied up. If there's paster for them to be in to protect them. Please do so. Sean is such a gentleman and friend for you. Thank God you will be able to control the coyote problem in your area. I really don’t believe that you can fully eradicate them from your area but at least deter them from coming near your babies and possibly others in your area.
Greetings from England Lester. I’ve just subscribed to your channel, I’m subscribed to Cog Hill, Hidden Heights and, of course, Dutch. I’m so sorry about your problems with the coyotes, we don’t get anything like that here in the U K, thank the dear Lord, or snakes and deadly spiders (two things that petrify me). I prey that you can get the situation under control and don’t lose any more of your fur babies. Best wishes to all of you XX
Y'all gotta hella problem. Those aren't just a couple of coyotes...those are a LOT!! 😳 Eradicating coyotes is nearly impossible. I applaud your enthusiasm and diligence, but it's definitely easier said than done 😢 Much luck in your endeavors, and I support y'all 💯❤
I have no words for that poor horse. I’ve read any of the posts and it appears the horse was tied up. Poor thing didn’t have a chance. I wish you luck in your trapping venture.
It's a beautiful place Lester without a doubt, but ideal territory for those predators. Hope they stay away from LHL. Thank you Sean for helping Lester.x
How horrible what that horse suffered while being killed by coyotes and tied by the owner. The horse had no chance to survive if possible. Thank you, Dutch, for helping Lester and his neighbors with the coyote problem. Safe travels back home. 😊
Exactly my thoughts… That farmer left that horse out there for bait, tied up… The snow way to treat any animal. That’s like tying a dog to a tree. If you can’t handle the animals, you shouldn’t own them… That really irritates me and that’s me being nice and what I have to say. I’m glad I don’t know who that neighbor is. I might want to contact them by sending the Humane Society to see if the other horses are safe.
You did a good thing Lester. You didn't have a great shot, but you followed it to make sure it didn't suffer for a long time. Your babies are a little bit safer because you did this.
Looks like so many dens. There must be so many coyotes on or near your property. . I hope you can get more lots more. Thankyou and Shawn for trying your best. ❤❤❤
Oh Man, those coyotes are getting bad if they're taking down a horse. It's time to set the "real" traps out in those woods and warn anyone walking out there to watch for them. Good luck with all that Lester. Nice of Shaun to come all the way down to South-east Texas to help ya. I'm sure he loved the woods and was amazed at it.
Sad to see that the horse was killed, and it could have been different had it not been tethered that way. Hoppe you can clear the area of coyotes as best you can. I subscribed to "Keeping it Dutch" he's a great guy.
You guys are so blessed with that beautiful property. I think like you and have been trying to get my family to sell and move somewhere with a natural water source and more secluded and self sufficient bc I know what’s coming, eventually. And we’re rural sitting on probably 15 acres, but not rural enough for me. But they either don’t believe me or else they say “oh well, if it happens, it happens, nothing we can do about it!” YES there is plenty we can do about it on our end. I just think about my kids and grandkids and as a mama I always want to protect, but also make sure they’re prepared. It seems it falls on deaf ears. Hope you take care of the coyote problem. Your babies come first. 🙏❤️🙏
Lester and Dutch I'm so glad for what you are doing to rid these coyotes... I'm sorry to any that thinks this shouldn't be handled. They are killing other people's animals. Its no way to feed the coyotes to stop them from hurting and or worse to ppls pets and farm animals. They are doing right by getting rid of the coyotes....
Those dens were already there when you bought the property but they seemed to be empty, i wonder if the coyotes came back because they can smell all the animals on the farm.
Lester... When you showed the horse who was killed by coyotes, I had a flash memory of the time a coyote attacked Bucees at the sanctuary. That was so bad and thankfully Bucees recovered. I am so scared for the safety of not only the animals but all the humans walking around LHL & neighbors. Whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. 🙏 🤠 🙏
This is so sad .I understand they have to eat ,but not everyone’s beloved animals .I wish they would hunt Squirrels, porcupines, rabbits, and any other wild animal. Have you considered Electric fencing around your corrals to keep your babies safe? I pray you will be able to Solve your coyote problem and have no more worry’s. Much love to you and Jamie ,and all your family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I sure love the music you come up with ❤
I'm so glad you're handling your predator problem. I love all animals but you gotta protect your animals. Right there with you Lester❤❤
Hello I’m a new subscriber, from Dutch’s channel. I love how you respect the animals. You guys be safe out there.
This is an awesome channel....Lester does have a strange sense of humor, but it can also be very entertaining...Welcome!!!
Welcome to the page!
Welcome 😊😊
Yay! Welcome! I was hoping some of Dutch's people would come over!!
Eradicating coyotes is nearly impossible. I applaud your enthusiasm and diligence, but it's definitely easier said than done 😢
Much luck in your endeavors, and I support y'all 💯❤
I have no words for that poor horse. I’ve read any of the posts and it appears the horse was tied up. Poor thing didn’t have a chance. I wish you luck in your trapping venture.
Ruby is looking great! ❤
That dance at the end....what a DOOF! LOVE IT! 🤣🤣
It's a beautiful place Lester without a doubt, but ideal territory for those predators. Hope they stay away from LHL. Thank you Sean for helping Lester.x
Dutch sent me over and I subscribed. You're a funny guy Lester.
Full support on this mission.
@@staceyahola4926 I pray they have no animals ever!
If I heard right in Dutch’s video the poor horse was killed by a mountain lion….I am pray my ears are playing tricks on me
@@staceyahola4926 Horse owner is very cruel to leave the poor animal tied and helpless.
Apparently they are very good swimmers too , they can cross river if they are hungry,
Sad to see that the horse was killed, and it could have been different had it not been tethered that way. Hoppe you can clear the area of coyotes as best you can. I subscribed to "Keeping it Dutch" he's a great guy.
Yes Dutch is something special.
Lester be very careful.Praying for you and your family and Friends, that it is going to be safer. God Bless.💕💕
4:50 beautiful scenery, beautiful home. Only my 2nd or 3rd video here but I like your style, your outlook perspective if you will.
Thank you both and good luck Lester! ❤🐐
Thank you so much Dutch for everything Lester
Those dens were already there when you bought the property but they seemed to be empty, i wonder if the coyotes came back because they can smell all the animals on the farm.
Lester... When you showed the horse who was killed by coyotes, I had a flash memory of the time a coyote attacked Bucees at the sanctuary. That was so bad and thankfully Bucees recovered. I am so scared for the safety of not only the animals but all the humans walking around LHL & neighbors. Whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. 🙏 🤠 🙏
I think that might have been a cat that got Bucees. Just because of the way the injury looked. Not a domestic cat.
Love your t-shirt Lester ! Hope your able to get more coyotes.. 🤗😘👍🏻🙏🙏
This is so sad .I understand they have to eat ,but not everyone’s beloved animals .I
wish they would hunt Squirrels, porcupines, rabbits, and any other wild animal.
Have you considered Electric fencing around your corrals to keep your babies safe?
I pray you will be able to Solve your coyote problem and have no more worry’s.
Much love to you and Jamie ,and all your family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
