@DannaK1207 Considering that Pickles is disabled and can't walk or run as fast, Mr Huck likely stood there long enough for Pickles to get to safety ahead of his own. He gave his life for those less fortunate and less stronger than himself. A hero and a warrior he was. 🌈🐐

Watching Jami's videos I was in shock, and then wave of sadness and heartbreak. But watching this video, made me angry. Several of your videos point out the preditors that are or could be in the wooded areas around LHL. Yet your goats were left unprotected. No livestock guardian dog, no donkey, no human to proect them. They were in a place where they were vulnerable. I know you are incredibly busy, and Jamie was gone, but there were options. Donkeys are foraging animals, and protectors, yet they're in the pasture with longhorns who can protect themselves. Can they be moved in with the goats? It can't be assumed this will be the only time an attack will ever happen. Next time it could be pickles. Please use Huck's experience as an alert that until now you've been very fortunate, but something different needs to happen. I love you and Jami, and my anger isn't directed at you personally. I'm angry at the circumstances. Seeing him alone in the road, knowing he faced his enemy alone. Seeing him so beat up, bleeding, and knowing how it turns out in the end. I just know in my gut there are things that could have made this less likely to occur. Mr Huck is the bravest little goat that ever lived. Anyone who ever thought he couldn't be a leader, he showed them huh? He gave everything to save all the others, even those who challenged him, thinking they could be better.

Lester please watch your goats very closely at night. Now that the coyotes know where the goats are, they will come back. My brother and sister-in-law had the same thing happen to their goats and the coyotes came back every night. My sister in law took care of those coyotes, not gonna say how, but in a matter of two days after the first attack she had them under control- gone. She loves her animals like they are her kids and she will protect them with her life. You might consider putting Millie and Fiona in the pasture with them. God bless and many prayers.
Goats on a jeep brought Me to your page so many years ago. Huck always had a special place in my heart until the very end he was the leader and the hero of his wacky pack. Huck didn't just save the babies that were there that day. We learned a horrible hard lesson about how relentless the coyotes near you are. This wasn't your fault. Please believe that. We love you guys all ao much.
Lester I’m not sure if you seen my message I was attacked by a coyote at 6 am in the morning walking to my chicken coop the autopsy showed it had rabies . My neighbor was able to get him off of me and eliminate it . But you have to eliminate the coyotes they got a taste of blood and they will come back. My neighbors have eliminated 21 coyotes since I was attacked.
Do you remember not long ago the goats didn’t come up for supper, you and Jami searched and you found them all terrified down in the pastures toward the road? I bet the coyotes scared them that day! Lester, I honestly think clearing out that woods might save your animals!

Norma here. This was such a hard video to watch. Poor Huck was waiting for you to come get him. You did all you could for him by treating his wounds and making him comfortable. Who would imagine that the coyotes would return and risk coming so close to the house. Unfortunately they caught Mr Huck when he was most vulnerable. It must have been so difficult for you to put him out of his misery, but he felt you near him, he felt how proud you were of him and your love for him. We will never forget what a true hero he was. Good evening Lester and Jami. As hard as this video was made and posted it also showed just how brave and such a warrior Mr. Huck was. He did a hard battle to make sure his Wacky Pack made it home back to safe grounds. Coming upon him on the hill you could see he was hurt but he was doing not too bad considering what he had been through. Lester you tried your best to help him out and please don't punish yourself no more. You and Jami gave him the will to live once he arrived at LHL with all the love, care, taking him to the river to forage he became the warrior and leader and he knew he was loved. @@joycekasberg15 i thought snakes would be there too. I was also bitten by a young copperhead when I was in Virginia! Not an experience I’d wish on anyone. Antivenin was too expensive so it was like being in the wild Wild West.. just deal with it. Any bear in the area?

Oh Lester, I am so so sorry for your loss. Please be extra careful (I know you will) and camp out there with a gun, because they will be back. Coyotes are soooo smart, they usually send one out to spy then come back with the team. Especially dangerous with the pregnant goats if they give birth. Any chance you can put Fiona and Millie with the babies in the pasture at night? I know a duck farm that has electric nets around their pasture (not just strands, whole nets). Maybe that would help. I think even for Beverly and Ivy it would be too dangerous with a whole pack (if they get bitten a lot in their legs and infection sets in...), same goes for Carl. Maybe get some real guard dogs (Kangals for example) that go on the attack instead of alerting like your good girls did, but that would be dangerous for visitors. They would learn to love you and your family, even the neighbors if they know them well, but everything else including humans wouldn't leave that pasture again. I keep you in my thoughts.
All animals are a blessing but Mr. Huck, there was something special about him and we all knew it from the beginning. He stood tall when he needed to. He made sure his herd was safe no matter what the cost. That's what leaders do they step up. He saved 11 lives and not including the babies on the way. The number 11 in angels means "IT IS TIME FOR YOUR TRUE CALLING!" Rest softly Mr. Huck💟

Lester, could the property that you had cleaned out was the coyotes home?> I know when they cleaned the property behind my house, for a road , the bears started coming out publically> although I live near walmart, I am on farm land and just outside of the city limits, my neighbor and I both have seen bears, our public officials cant explain it (not one word) BUT we know that their habitat has been disrupted, as we live out here.

Sometime in the furture make a “hospital stall” in the feed garage. Which is to used only for births and emergencies. Your other barns are good at keeping them cool but not great at keeping “others” out when you have one that is injured.

He seemed to be in shock along with his injuries. Lester, I think you should carry your gun with you at all times for protection. If the coyotes are hungry or rapid they could come after you, or Jami, ir the dogs, or other animals.You both have such a strong deep love for all of your animals and protect them. I feel so bad for what happened with Mr. Huck .I don't know what to say. The guard dogs should be kept with the goats at night . That's why goats avoided going near the woods Rotten coyotes !.
I’m sad and grieving him but I’m glad I got to know him through your videos. Huck went from frail and sickly to a warrior that stood his ground as a leader. I’m usually not an advocate for hunting, but in this case….get ‘em!

Lester and Jami, I just saw all three videos about Huck and I am so very sorry 😢. I am heartbroken 💔 and also very proud that he protected the herd. It is NOT your fault and if anyone says so I will block them as should you. I do only suggest you keep your gun handy because coyotes will come back. They are pack animals, as you know. I know you will do everything to protect the babies. Jake has some tricks to keep them away. I wouldn't video it though, people may get mad, but it's necessary!! Lester please watch your goats very closely at night. Now that the coyotes know where the goats are, they will come back. My brother and sister-in-law had the same thing happen to their goats and the coyotes came back every night. My sister in law took care of those coyotes, not gonna say how, but in a matter of two days after the first attack she had them under control- gone. She loves her animals like they are her kids and she will protect them with her life. You might consider putting Millie and Fiona in the pasture with them. God bless and many prayers.
Goats on a jeep brought Me to your page so many years ago. Huck always had a special place in my heart until the very end he was the leader and the hero of his wacky pack. Lester I’m not sure if you seen my message I was attacked by a coyote at 6 am in the morning walking to my chicken coop the autopsy showed it had rabies . My neighbor was able to get him off of me and eliminate it . But you have to eliminate the coyotes they got a taste of blood and they will come back. My neighbors have eliminated 21 coyotes since I was attacked.
I haven't stopped crying since yesterday, we all loved him so much.love and prayers to you all

Do you remember not long ago the goats didn’t come up for supper, you and Jami searched and you found them all terrified down in the pastures toward the road? I bet the coyotes scared them that day! Lester, I honestly think clearing out that woods might save your animals!

Norma here. This was such a hard video to watch. Poor Huck was waiting for you to come get him. You did all you could for him by treating his wounds and making him comfortable. Who would imagine that the coyotes would return and risk coming so close to the house. Unfortunately they caught Mr Huck when he was most vulnerable. It must have been so difficult for you to put him out of his misery, but he felt you near him, he felt how proud you were of him and your love for him. We will never forget what a true hero he was. RIP Mr Huck with all the others who have gone before you.

Good evening Lester and Jami. As hard as this video was made and posted it also showed just how brave and such a warrior Mr. Huck was. He did a hard battle to make sure his Wacky Pack made it home back to safe grounds. Coming upon him on the hill you could see he was hurt but he was doing not too bad considering what he had been through. Lester you tried your best to help him out and please don't punish yourself no more. You and Jami gave him the will to live once he arrived at LHL with all the love, care, taking him to the river to forage he became the warrior and leader and he knew he was loved. @@n1njatuber venomous snakes. Our dog was bitten by a Copperhead 2 years ago, she survived because we got her to the vet in time.
@@joycekasberg15 i thought snakes would be there too. I was also bitten by a young copperhead when I was in Virginia! Not an experience I’d wish on anyone. Antivenin was too expensive so it was like being in the wild Wild West.. just deal with it. Any bear in the area?

Oh Lester, I am so so sorry for your loss. Please be extra careful (I know you will) and camp out there with a gun, because they will be back. Coyotes are soooo smart, they usually send one out to spy then come back with the team. Especially dangerous with the pregnant goats if they give birth. Any chance you can put Fiona and Millie with the babies in the pasture at night? I know a duck farm that has electric nets around their pasture (not just strands, whole nets). Maybe that would help. I think even for Beverly and Ivy it would be too dangerous with a whole pack (if they get bitten a lot in their legs and infection sets in...), same goes for Carl. Maybe get some real guard dogs (Kangals for example) that go on the attack instead of alerting like your good girls did, but that would be dangerous for visitors. They would learn to love you and your family, even the neighbors if they know them well, but everything else including humans wouldn't leave that pasture again. I keep you in my thoughts.
All animals are a blessing but Mr. Huck, there was something special about him and we all knew it from the beginning. He stood tall when he needed to. He made sure his herd was safe no matter what the cost. That's what leaders do they step up. He saved 11 lives and not including the babies on the way. The number 11 in angels means "IT IS TIME FOR YOUR TRUE CALLING!" Rest softly Mr. Huck💟

Lester, could the property that you had cleaned out was the coyotes home?> I know when they cleaned the property behind my house, for a road , the bears started coming out publically> although I live near walmart, I am on farm land and just outside of the city limits, my neighbor and I both have seen bears, our public officials cant explain it (not one word) BUT we know that their habitat has been disrupted, as we live out here.

Sometime in the furture make a “hospital stall” in the feed garage. Which is to used only for births and emergencies. Your other barns are good at keeping them cool but not great at keeping “others” out when you have one that is injured.
Oh my goodness, poor Mr Huck!! My heart was breaking watching this video! 💔 Mr Huck protected the herd, allowed the other goats to get away and get home. He fought to save them. He seemed to be in shock along with his injuries. Lester, I think you should carry your gun with you at all times for protection. If the coyotes are hungry or rapid they could come after you, or Jami, ir the dogs, or other animals.You both have such a strong deep love for all of your animals and protect them. My heart goes out to you and Jami for your loss of Mr Huck. He was an awesome leader!! 😢💔🐐
I feel so bad for what happened with Mr. Huck .I don't know what to say. The guard dogs should be kept with the goats at night . That's why goats avoided going near the woods Rotten coyotes !.
I’m sad and grieving him but I’m glad I got to know him through your videos. Huck went from frail and sickly to a warrior that stood his ground as a leader. I’m usually not an advocate for hunting, but in this case….get ‘em!

Lester and Jami, I just saw all three videos about Huck and I am so very sorry 😢. I am heartbroken 💔 and also very proud that he protected the herd. It is NOT your fault and if anyone says so I will block them as should you. I do only suggest you keep your gun handy because coyotes will come back. They are pack animals, as you know. I know you will do everything to protect the babies. Jake has some tricks to keep them away. I wouldn't video it though, people may get mad, but it's necessary!!
