Thank you for posting this! The auto parts store that I stopped by to get bulbs for replaced my driver side one but they said they didn't have access to the passenger side one so after watching your video I was able to do it all on my own! Now I'm never going to have to pay somebody to switch out my lightbulbs ever again! Thank you!
WOW! Your DIY video saved us hundreds of dollars. We have no mechanical abilities and yet you were able to walk us through the process. Thank you so much!!!!!
Sometimes people are sarcastic, it's hard to tell these days haha. However I read this comment as sincere...so if that is the case, you are very welcome.
Thank you! I almost cried when I saw the passenger side. Then almost cried again when I saw that other video that talks about removing 5 clips. This way was much easier.
Thanks for this, it saved me a lot of work. You're absolutely right that the passenger side can be done w/o taking off all the clips, if your hand is thin enough to squeeze in there (mine was). The dust caps are a royal pain to get back on, so definitely don't undo the high beams by accident like I did! So much wasted time trying to get those caps back on.
The Posted link to SEALIGHT Scoparc 9005/HB3 LED Bulbs... Those bulbs are HIGH BEAM lights, HB3 is HIGH BEAM. You need H11/H8/H9 to replace Low Beam lights on a 2016 Chevy Colorado. Yes, It is difficult to get that cap back on.... you just need to line up the slots, and push in kinda hard and twist on... they will go on...
Look at the GM logo imprinted on the back of the dust covers. When installed, the GM logo should be level, so line the GM logo up level in your hand, then twist the dust cap slightly left or right (I believe it is clockwise as you face the truck) - you'll feel the tabs engage into their slots. At that point twist it back to make the GM logo level, and it's locked in. Pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
@@anniekahl902 usually comes in a standard Torx driver or bit kit. If the screw has the security tab in the middle you can just break that off with a small flat head by torquing it a little bit. A small flat head can unscrew them as well when you catch it at the right angle
The same applies to the ZR2 (‘19 2.8L). My passenger side headlight went out and I had to do the same thing. And yes, aggravating and annoying considering the driver side is easy.
My passenger headlight went out tonight and my T20 screw is all rusted out so I'll have to take it to the dealer. I don't want to strip it, they'll hopefully have replacements.
@@MrFergusonLawn watched and only saw you doing the low beams and was just curious. Looking to switch mine out because they’re starting to dim. Thanks for the video.
One year review...these headlights still going and working just as well as a year ago when installed. Happy customer.
How about now almost 3 years from video date?

And thankfully my cheap little multi head screwdriver from dollar general had the correct bit.
@@amandaengelman5168 so glad it helped. Some say this vid sucked so, glad it helped someone out.
Thanks made the job much easier on the passenger side. I removed the bolt for the horn bracket also. Gave me a little more room.

Torx T20 - Bit or Driver should work
THANKS !! for making this video easy to deal with !
I love hearing it helped out. Thanks for the feedback. That's why I made it!
How did you get the covers back on. Mine were not going on cause the bulb was too big.
Same here? I’m on the hunt…
It's been a year, but I do remember it sucking lol. Hope you got it man, sorry I missed your comment previously.

It's a T20(Torx 20). You do not need the security T20...Just the regular T20
Can we buy this tool anywhere? Where should I go? Thanks! 😁

Thanks for posting this. I have had a hard time finding anything on LEDs in the reflector housing. Have you had any issues with them?
Sure havent
@@MrFergusonLawn just ordered these with the fog lights in a combo set. Thanks for the help!
Hello, thanks for the vid! Can you please send the link for the beams?

How do you get the bulb out of the socket
I’m not sure bud, but I believe you have to twist left out of those groves. Hope you got it taken care of.
Did you replace both high and low beams?
Just the low beams. Had to rewatch this lol.

You happen to know where is the low beam headlight fuse ? Can find it
I don’t…sorry :/
I like my truck, but I wish Chevy would hire a few Ex-Toyota engineers...
It's a t20 torx wrench
Would this work a for 2015?
Not sure bud. You can try

Thanks for the video but this was NOT a better RUclips video. It would have been nice to see this actually be done…not just talked about.
Understand. Others have said same. Once I need to do it again I’ll update it. Thanks for the feedback.
