I’m doomed. Just ordered the entire set for the cyber Monday deal. Ive got massive hands so im gonna be screaming obscenities for the better half of an afternoon.
Love these lights, however my drivers side now has condensation. I’ve taken the bulbs out and put them back in. I can’t figure out where the issue is. Maybe the cover on the back is the issue?? Not sure.
So, I put in the same kit on my 2023 Colorado Trail Boss you did using your part numbers. Did you have any problems fitting the dust cover back on the low beam? My covers don't seem to wanna fit? Looks as if they are too shallow to fit the fan.
No, but I will tell you I had to play with it a little bit, you have to talk the wires and move things around with your hand, and it will go back on with a little bit of finesse
For the love of God my dust covers can’t go on properly. Fan is to big. I got them on by they are not fitted 100%. Maybe like 80% or the way. Spent two hours on something that should have taken 25 mins tops.
Hey bud! Thank you for the cool video on the install of these! Super helpful and appreciated. I know you don’t have the stock fog lights like on the z71, but was wondering if you knew which Lasfit led would work on a 2023 z71 with them? Thanks!
So I just got these. I was just barely able to get my hands on to wiggle these high beams out... But I could not twist them back in. Had to sorta shimmy some pliers down there and slowly work it around. 🤦

Hey Travis, asked these same questions on another technician I sub to, his installation was with the AUXILAM LED kit, but see you opted for LASFIT. With the TB's Auto/On/Off feature of the truck, do you see the light flicker? Typically I see this when im at a light or a stop, the engine cuts and then when it re-starts the light pulses. Concerned with confusing drivers on the other side, would love to hear your testimony with the LASFIT product. Their support team said their lights have something built in to prevent this but want to hear from others before I purchase another light kit again.
it’s perfectly normal for your light to pulsate when the auto start stop feature is enabled, when it restarts the engine, it sends power from the battery to the starter, which makes your electronics power up and will cause an surge for all headlights, LED and non LED. You should see them pulse slightly upon start up. While it's running you shouldn't see any sort of flicker.
same issue here, it just annoys me too much when i see my low beams flicker then the auto on/off kicks in, do these LASTFIT brand headlights do the same?
Travis, thank you for the Colorado videos. I have a very similar Trail Boss and have found the videos very useful. Quick question, were your high beam Lasfit LEDs somewhat loose when installed in the housing? I’m not sure if maybe I turned too hard but both of my high beams are snug, but can move. The white bracket that secures in the housing appears to be loose from the bulb/fan, secured only by o-rings, so mine jiggle a bit, but it’s not noticeable while driving. Also, not sure how I’ll ever get those brackets out if need be (the bulb slips out from the bracket), but we’ll cross that bridge if we get there.
I have this same issue when I installed last night. This just seems like a terrible design and there is way to much slop on the bulb when installed. I will be sending these back
@JT4x4offroading - Just added these (high and low beams) no real issues on install... But now the real question - I'm now seeing that there is a possible issue with VA State inspection... apparently the LAZFIT high and low beam LEDs are not DOT? You're in VA, have you passed the state inspection with these?
SO I installed these last night, The high beam mounting design is terrible. The only thing holding them in is a silicone O ring. Have you hade any bulb movement since you installed?
Travis, I bought the amber corner lights from lasfit and i can’t seem to find how to get into the headlight themselves. Have you looked into them or no?
I actually have not replaced the Amber corner lights, I would have to look at how to get to them, they are very small, so it might require pulling the light fixture. Just a thought, not 100%.
@@iBxUnrATEdx1 I had to mess around with mine, push the wires inside into the side and then try to secure that locking cap, it’s the wires that are getting in your way
Were you able to reinstall the large plastic cap after installing the low beams? I tried one brand of LED bulbs and the fan unit was too large and I couldn't screw the large cap back on.
No, it has to directly be the cause of an issue. If something did happen, which I dkubt it ever will just keep the old lights and switch it out. I have used LEDs for years and it's never caused any issues. LEDs use less power than halogens.
looking good. i got the switchbacks you got but they do not work in the z71 . found out that the trailboss has a duel function turn sig and the z71 is only a single . really crappy of gm. but then again th trial dose not have hte daytime running stripe but it would be nice to have the daytime go all the way to the grill.
Ya if you have any electric issue you have to put in the orginal bulbs for GM to make any cases. Dealership told me that as well when i had the truck info the radio update. even tho the lcd take about 30% less voltage on top of that@@braydonbriggs9066
Hey man, you think you could tell me and or maybe do a short on how far the drivers seat reclines? I cant seem to find anything on that in any reviews. I shol like my lunch break naps at times lol
Cover turns to your left of the truck. Lefty loosy, righty tighty. Bit of a pain but definitely comes off if you put pressure and kinda let it turn like the video says😊
I struggled with it too on the first one. They don’t even need to turn a quarter turn. It will feel like they should turn more but are stuck, but that may be the gasket holds tight. You may need to use a flat m head screwdriver to gently pop the caps off.
Then it’s not installed right. Have these same bulbs and never get flashed. Make sure the chips are facing 9 and 3 o’clock. I did have to adjust them slightly down to match factory cutoff height.
Mine are great! If you line up your truck to a white background you can make sure the lights aren't too high, if so it's probably not in there right. No flashes here.
Many LED headlight upgrades are not DOT compliant thus not legal in many states plus many leds are installed incorrectly blinding drivers on the road. To me the difference in lighting is not worth it.
You do realize that you're not the only driver on the road right? Install super bright lights somewhere else, don't replace your regular driving lights with them
I like it, look so much better, the low beam seems well define.
I agree it looks way better!
Real tight for large hands. Just got them installed today. Low high and switchbacks
Yeah, if you have big hands, you might’ve gotten a couple cuts lol

I haven’t had any issues with condensation so it could possibly be the covers in the back
Nice video. I just bought a 2024 colorado and was thinking about getting led headlight bulbs. Is it pretty easy to install.
You will love them, after install adjust headlight position lower. The install is medium only because it’s tight.

I’m not actually sure which one works with the Z71 but I know you can message them on Instagram and they’re very responsive.
Got these installed, so far no flashing from others, except a few hot chicks😂 loving my Sand Dune metallic 😊
Nice!!i gat yelled at a little lmao but whatever haha other LED are just as bright

Yeah it’s tough Chevy made those caps hard to get on

@@JT4X4OFFROADING Thanks - I have till next May before it needs an inspection.
Does it matter if the light is up or sideways? As long as it locks in place?
There is a proper position, I would double check their website, I believe it has to be vertical
thanks for the video I just bought a 24 and it came with led fog lights but ugly halogen headlights.
Crazy they keep adding halogen !
Just installed mine today, how have they been running for you so far?
No issues at all!
Do they not need to be aligned or whatnot
Not necessarily aligned, but the beams need to be adjusted down
@ ok how do you do that?
Travis because you did the switch back swap, is that why you don’t have the amber lights on at night with this new led low beam?
Exactly, they are LED instead of amber now
Great vid Pare! Salamat

no bulb movement for me and I’ve also adjusted my light beams almost to the lowest point

I actually have not replaced the Amber corner lights, I would have to look at how to get to them, they are very small, so it might require pulling the light fixture. Just a thought, not 100%.
They go inside the headlights. Meaning inside the cap you take off. You need to remove the entire headlight fixtures.
@@tango2544 if that’s the case, probably not worth it huh? Too much work for such a little light, what do you think?
Is the T3-7443R the correct light for the Taillights ???
Only do reverse lights, the break lights have an issue where they do not light up while lights are on
How do you get the low beams to lock into place? I can only seem to turn the bulb.. can't get it locked in!
There is a locking ring, they are a little tricky.
Yeah, I see the locking ring I just can't get it to turn into place. I'm breaking my fingers here haha

Hey Travis, will it get too hot in there with the black cap on.? Just testing the lights, they felt pretty warm. I did put mine back on though…
No, the LED lights have a fan in order to keep them cool. I’ve had zero issues with mine.
Never leave the dust cap off, once any particles make it to the inside of the lens you’re done.
Were you able to reinstall the large plastic cap after installing the low beams? I tried one brand of LED bulbs and the fan unit was too large and I couldn't screw the large cap back on.
Yes it goes back on perfectly! Just make sure the wires are all tucked in and you are good to go!
I want led on my colorado wt 2023 but not this bright, is there another option?
I don’t believe there’s a less bright option, yeah, these are pretty bright check out lasfit they may have a less bright option

Thank you, I will follow up when corrected!
Instead of pnp led’s try the H11 to H9 halogen conversion, way better. Halogen lights are made for halogen bulbs, the optics aren’t designed for led.
